Simple, see? So Warren's $10 signing bonus, equals $1.6 million per year cap hit over 6 years.

If the player is cut or retires or is traded, then his remaining cap bonus is accelerated and counts against the cap this year (unless he's cut after June 2, when it's divided between this year and next year).

Actually I just read somewhere that signing bonuses can only be prorated over a max of 5 years, regardless of how long the contract is. I am not positive though, anyone else know for sure.

The price tag for Fatafehi would be about 5 million per year less though.

What I will say about Brown and Warren is that every year they will give us that "X Factor" of hope that this will be the year they live up to all the hoopla and talent. And that's going to be kind of fun to deal with for the next few years. We don't usually get top draft picks, so I suppose waiting to see if Warren or Brown ever develop will suffice.
unfortunately, the X-factor with brown will always be his health (said with fingers crossed). . .

So who knows how we can find out the details fo this contract, do we jsut have to hope that someone like rockymountain news, or denver post eventually posts the exact #'s? Or do we wait for base salaries to come up on nflpa.org

          Yes

A quarterback with a 23.1 QB rating does not win a game.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Sounds like sour grapes to me... Just because you did not have the defense needed to help him out, doesn't mean that you should cut him down in Denver....
He has done well for us and we are happy with him...

18 tackles and 2 sacks is well? What do you consider bad then?

you conveniently use the stats from one game, ignoring his career rating of 98.3, and 2 trips to the AFC championship game in 2 season. . . and they won't take his ring back because he had a poor QB rating in the game. . . dawgfan, you clearly watch the AFC North a lot-- you really think the steelers would have been the team that they have for the past 2 years with tommy frickin' maddox at the helm? don't let your animosity towards them cloud your answer, now. . .

You are going to trust a florida newspaper over the NFL?

Warrens signing bonus will count 2 mil against the cap for 5 years.

The official site of the national football league says 19 tackles.

It's a good thing Jay Cutler was a proven winner in college. Oh wait, nevermind.

No I wouldn't trust just a Florida paper, but I would trust a whole lot of others if they said the same thing....

Those are all the same article. It is an Associated Press article therefore it is circulated across the country. OF COURSE it is going to have the same statistics.

Team sites always overblow the stats. Therefore stats on team sites are not trustworthy. For instance if you go to the Browns site, Andra Davis had 200 tackles this year. If you want to use just team sites stats then Andra Davis definately deserved to go to the Pro Bowl.
