this IS NOT a second or third violation. it is his first accusation.
there are reasons why a first violation went to suspension, and those reasons will come out soon, but i hope at least some will believe me when i say that this was mikes first violation, and he is doing his best to defend his character.

i use the word character, because mike anderson is most definately a man of integrity and character. i know this first hand.
many will question him, but i can vouch for him ,and say that i support him 100% and when he says he only inhaled second hand smoke he is telling the truth.

he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. he knows it, and you cant imagine how bad he feels about it. the worst part of all this is that its happening to one of the most moral and stand up guys to ever suit up in a bronco uniform. the truth will come out in more detail soon, and i hope until then you all will give him the benefit of the doubt. i can tell you that he deserves it. he is kind, thoughtful, appreciative, and most importantly he is sincere and has CHARACTER.

his only offense was being around people smoking pot, and if being around the wrong people ONCE is grounds for deffamation of character, i think we're all in trouble.

im still kind of in shock at how this is playing out, but i hope that at least some of you will believe me. the rest of the story will come out soon, but i just couldnt wait till then to defend him. this was, and IS the kind of player and person that i point to and tell my son, "thats an athlete you can look up to"

i am even more proud the way he has handled this situation, and when you all hear the whole truth, i know you will be too.

    jake
I have personally been on the other side, dropping UA's twice a week and I have been around people that have smoked and I have inhaled second hand smoke but I never, and I mean never came back as "hot"...

Just out of curiosity, how many times per day do you get beat up in elementary school?

Who talks on here like a 5th grader? None other than kcdom. Been a Broncos fan since 1977. I'll be attending my first game in Denver on Dec 7th. Flying all the way up from San Antonio to go to the game.

I'm fairly certain he was replying to kcdomination's asinine post. I think from kcdomination's post, spikerman has just assumed that a) kcdomination is a juvenile, possibly in Elementary school and b) he gets beat up several times a day because he probably spews forth idiocy at school that are akin to his posts.

I'm just guessing but it seems logical.

I don't know if you saw, but me and LawDog are trying to start a movement here. We're just not going to respond to KC fans anymore. I'm pretty sure ReasonableChief and Mer have earned their spurs (man, that's going to bother them), but otherwise, no replies.

LawDog says it will quell the KC fans' need to rub their record in our faces. I told him I'd give it a try, but only if we got support.
Well, it sounds like a good idea but what about the infrequent Broncos posters who will respond to them and keep them going? And some other Chiefs fans (not including the ones you mentioned) are borderline reasonable; where do we draw the line?

I worry that there wouldn't be enough of us who refrained from responding to actually encourage the...um...less eloquent Chiefs fans to leave. And then idiocy will go unchecked! Chaos!!!

Well ... if you want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. It won't bother me if Bronco fans don't respond ... it is a free country, you know. Understand, though, y'all have a little good natured needling coming when you look at the standings. But what fun would it be if you beat the Chiefs on Dec. 7 and don't have someone to give a little grief to, especially if that would be our first loss (or dog-piling on a sinking ship if it's Loss No. 4?)

Trust me on one thing ... a win on Dec. 7 will go a long way towards silencing the idiots (on both sides). Perhaps that's a bit simplistic: If the Broncos win, Chiefs fans will say the score is 1-1 for the season; if the Chiefs win, well, fill in the blanks.

Still ... it's no fun to debate or talk a little trash with completely like-minded people. I mean, if we were all Republicans (let a guy dream), where's the fun in that?

No ill-will here, though. Do what you need to do. I can only speak for myself, but if there's no mental stimulation here, I wouldn't hang around for long.

if we were all republicans we'd have starving people in the streets, the rich getting richer, and be at war with some country threatening us with rocks for the end of time. that sounds like more of a nightmare than a dream.

I could and probably should take issue with your statement, but I don't think the Broncomania Message Board is the appropriate forum.

                      Javalon,

you summed it up much better than I ever could!

I don't align myself with any politcal party (independent) but that still sounds offensive.

Well ... there's probably a lot of similarities between political differences and fan differences in terms of never seeing eye to eye.

Perhaps we should qualify our posts with our religious, political and ethnic beliefs and backgrounds. It would certainly upgrade the quality of insult ...

"Reasonable Chief is not only a Chiefs fan, but he's a Republican, too. Probably a Methodist as well. Disregard his posts."

                            And vice versa.

And BTW, I suspected you were kidding about Republicans, but one can never be too certain.
