2. The question still remains "How many times has he violated the drug policy?"

3. The NFL's minimum requirement for a positive MJ result is 15 nanograms and the State's is 50.

I just believe that this is a chance to change the laws and rules. I am an avid believer in the legalazation of mj (if you coulndt tell already) and think that more "famous" people need to come out of the closet, so to speak (personally I think hotboxing in the closet is fun and prefer to stay in there as long as possible )

Smoking does not change a persons integrity, even though it is against the law, but lying does. I, personally, hope he's not lying and could care less whether he smokes or not. Lying shows more about a persons integrity and charachter than smoking pot does.

Well I have to take issue with this... If you are a season ticket holder, or if you put out money to see the Broncos play games at Invesco then you have every right to critisize a player that is not going to help the team win.

Mike Anderson is the starting fullback for a reason and that is because he is the best at his position on the team. It will hurt the team as far as depth and experience to put another person in his place, whether it be Reuben or Patrick.

Those of us who pay to see the Broncos play have an investment, and you bet we have a right to say something when someone is slugging a guy at a Pancake house, or someone else is falling down drunk in someone else's driveway, or someone is hanging around others that are smoking an illegal substance...

Even his Marine Coach said the Mike needed to get better friends.

Mike is a good football player and I hope he can get rid of this addiction, because if he does not he will be out of football at least a year, if not forever.

Dexter Manley went through somewhat the same scenario. I know it was different but it is the same thing to the NFL, and if Mike does not change, he is throwing away his career.

Yes we do have those rights and we will exercise them. As long as my money is going to the Broncos, I have rights.

You do have the right to say whatever you want because this is a free country, not becuase you are spending money.

Your money is the strongest influence in the market economy. If you keep giving the Broncos your money year after year, then that is your own fault if they don't change.

1) more info will be released. it might take awhile now, because mike's lawyer has asked that everyone remain tight lipped while he talks to the nfl.

2) i understand that the question will remain for many of you, but it is his first and only positive test.

3) as for the laws and rules, i am no expert. what i do know is the character of mike anderson. i also know the mitigating circumstances that lead to him being suspended for a first violation. i feel like a kid with a secret and it feels like crap, but i couldnt watch him get crucufied by media and fans when they dont know the truth.

maybe i shouldnt have said anything, but i think its important to at least inform people that there is ALOT more to the story. i wont say the whole story, because i respect mike and he asked that those of us who know remain quiet for now. mike wants everyone to know the truth, but he has to wait for his lawyer to give him the ok after concluding his talks with the nfl. there are special circumstances here that will eventually come out, and i hope that at least some will take the word of those of us who know him and give him the benefit of the doubt until the rest of the story comes to light.

Thanks, Jake. I always say there is two sides to every story and then there's the truth. I never make a decision about something until I can hear everything everyone has to say.........I love Mike and wish him the best, I dont know why he is being targeted, but its wrong.............send him my best, let him know that he has plenty of people who are backing him no matter what

Thats not right, lawyers arent bad, you just hear about the bad ones, just like you will hear about NFL players when they do something wrong but how much publicity do they get when they are doing good things....................Lawyers are paid to tell their clients version of the truth, that is their job, to defend their client, would you want a lawyer that was any different.............I love how everyone bashes lawyers but when they get in deep chi whos the first person they call?

That is kind of my point of the remark. It would be so refreshing if when someone got caught doing something they shouldn't have, that they step to the plate and say, "yep, I did it. I'll take the punishment and we will all move on." Another poster or two on here mentioned that it is actually worse to be a liar than a pot smoker. I completely agree with that.

And some people on here are worried about their children, and what kind of message drugs are going to send to them. Now what kind of message are the kids getting? Well, ok, your role models do make mistakes, and when they get caught, they spin and lie their way through it.

Name a recent public figure that did something illegal, and has the money for a team of lawyers, that plead guilty to their charges.


Hmmmm, you know what, I never actually said anything about lawyers being liars, or did I really even bash lawyers. I was only implying that after the lawyer gets done with making the statements, we still won't know what the true story is. I'm not so sure lawyers want to know the whole story, otherwise wouldn't it be a mistrial to defend a person that admitted guilt to you? So, with that in mind, lawyers never tell anything but 'the truth'.

This includes all of the stories that will come from the Bronco's PR department also. Pretty much the same thing.
