  • AFC West Progress - Chief losers?

I think Denver is doing a great job upgrading the defense that was already ranked in the top 5 last season...

The Raiders are my second choice on rebuilding.

The Chargers...well...we'll have a better idea what they will be doing after the draft and finally...

    What has the Chiefs done?!

Chiefs havent done much, but the retain alot of there high powered offense and they add Gunther Cunningham to the mix. I beleive that makes them dangerous enough.

When someone says the name 'Gunther' it immediately translates into 'German porn director'. Dunno why.

Well...Gunther better get the rust off of him, because it's a whole new game next season.

The Chiefs signed Holmes and Green last season before they became FAs this year. They also stated, at the end of last season, that their priorities will be to resign all of their current FAs. They accomplished that, minus Tait's big payday.

That's one of the reasons why I don't agree with the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality in the NFL. If it 'ain't broke' that means it worked. If it worked then someone's worked hard and probably figured out a game plan to defend against it.

In other words, you can't keep the same plan/players/schemes as the year before - especially if they were successful. There's too many great minds (and lots of film) in the league today and before long someone will catch on to what you're doing.

The Chiefs offense won't be nearly as 'dangerous' next year, and they better hope that 'XXX' Gunther does something (anything) with that defense or they're cooked.

Wouldn't hiring Gunther be a change in both plan and schemes? Wouldn't that then be a good move to bring him in?

Yes. Your defense will be different and probably improved. I was mostly talking about your offense.

This is rediculous. Are you think he will pull out his old Neil Smith plays? He hasn't been a DC in years, he will be fresh.

Our Offense won't be as good, but we will still be great, last year we were Excellent, this year great, Donkeys on the other hand, well let's just say your Offense minused 1600 yards this offseason.

The offense might be a little off from last year........ but that will still be far and away better than any other offense in the AFC West..... in the NFL for that matter. The Donkey "O" will be worse as well....... I don't care how special Griffin looked in his couple of games..... you don't replace Portis, you try to fill the hole the best you can...... Griffin might be ok, but his tiny frame will break down in a whole season. If the CHIEFS "D" is even a little better then they will be just fine.
                            LET'S GO CHIEFS!!!

                              ya'll are cracking me up........

who you figuring on scoring against......???

funny how just losing 1 olineman, you're already saying your offense won't be as good as last year.

And changing DC will help your d? mmmmm ok!
Lest we forget......1st place finish plays 1st place teams.....you better hope your d&o both improve over last year......

                              heheheh
