This year will really show us what Champ is made out of for sure it's gonna be tough for him I think Holt and Chad will give him the toughest challenge for sure.

      Perhaps.

Boldin had similair numbers to Fitzgerald with 2 less games last year.

Although, I do expect Fitzgerald to continue to improve and be a more effective target in the endzone.

Ah yes good point, IDK maybe even for that game Champ will play right or left and D will play opposite since its 2 great WRs.

With the NFL record being 14, I don't think 16 is reasonable. 10 sounds about right. His toughest competition will come against Chad and Torry. He's already shut down Harrison in the playoffs(twice), Randy Moss last year, and he did an okay job on Hines Ward. Watch out for the matchup on either Fitzgerald or Boldin, too.

          Too soon, D-Will, too soon.

            Jurevicious actually isn't too bad.
JJ isn't quick enough to seperate from Champ IMO...

Everyone else though, damn. Bailey better have his crap together...

              He's 6,5

He doesn't need to be quick.

Man Champ is gonna have a real task this year. I think he can do this and now that teams know we got good cornerbacks they will have to spread the ball around more which means more balls in his directions, and this could mean more inteceptions for Champ.

I'd hate to see how you'd all react if we had Roc Alexander back there covering number 1s.

Champ will be just fine. He probably LOVES the opportunity to play against the number 1 receivers.

All right, we'll see. I watched every one of JJ's games last year and he rarely used his height to his advantage. Off the top of my head, his only jump-ball for a td was against Corey Webster (an inferior player at this point who didn't even know where the ball was on the specific play).

Most of his receptions came off short, west coast style routes. He caught a few deep balls, many due to blown coverages, but I think Champ can still handle him.

Besides, Braylon Edwards may be back by then anyways...

I'm not sure Champ should cover Antonio Bryant. We'll have 15 games to judge how well Vernon Davis plays up to expectations, and if he can create some mismatches, even our elite linebacking crew might need some help. Bailey would probably be best keep him out of the equation.

He might not even be playing that game to us clinching

That's true, I'm just going off Dark Knight's chart though. Vernon Davis is the only big receiving threat they have since the departure of Brandon Llyod. If Bailey plays, he should have his number.

weeks two and three are pretty doable (to shut down the WRS) if you ask me.
