    Despite what the Broncos tell us......

    there isn't great depth at the position! They need to keep 6 WR , then hope and pray one of them steps up given more time. Watts should be one of these 6....Devoe, Clark and Adams should not! They are fringe players, and the Broncos have had enough of those. We all better hope Smith stay's healthy and Walker isn't just another over-hyped Bronco. The Broncos may be no better off at the WR position than they were last year. And when are we gonna focus our attention on the coaches for the lack of production behind the starters. They have yet to develope anyone other than Smith and McCaffrey. Players have come and gone, but the Watson's and Shanahan's never get called out.

    He didn't do squat in the past 2 preseason games... He'll be placed on PS if he's lucky...

    #1 = Rod
    #2 = Javon
    Slot = Kircus
    #4 = Marshall
    #5 = Devoe

    All remaining = cut(With the exception of Hixon who will be placed on PS and Brian Clark who has a chance on PS)...

    I cant believe watts was cut, if devoe/adams/clark stayed that would be amazing to me. Adams is a pretty good special teams guy and devoe has had his moments but clark just didnt impress me at all!! i would take watts over all 3 of them but hey watts not playing special teams hurt him.

    If the idea is to "keep the top 53" as Shanahan has stated......There is no way in hell Devoe, Adams and Clark are better football players than Watts....."The top 53" is more Shanahan speak for BS! :brick:

    He talks about "the depth at the position", and this is what he meant?
    I don't believe Adams returned any kickoffs, just punts. Clark led the team in kickoff returns.

    Either way, Watts didn't play on special teams and that appears to have hurt him. I thought he'd gotten over his butterfingers and would make the team as a pure receiver but I guess it enough this year.

    One possible change could be that Adams or Devoe is gone, and Nate Jackson plays a dual role, since he has lined up wide quite a bit this preseason. In that case, they would only keep 5 WR, or list Jackson as a WR.

    Thats definetly right. Obvisouly Rod the number 1, Walker should be the number 2. Marshall with his size and athleticsm will be great in the red zone and third down situations, Kirkus with the burst he showed in preason will get great matchups at the number 4 slot. Adams has been a good kick returner and has been fairly solid, and Devoe although many mental errors shows great skill at times.

    Me, too. I'm ready for Adams to move on. And I like Clark's energy out there.

    How do you think Shanny will line them up?

    I think you got it right. Maybe switch Kircus and Marshall around, or not.
