  • NFL.com news: Denver D on pace for fewest TD record

    That would be sweet if they can do it...

    DENVER: RB Tatum Bell stands seventh in the AFC with 612 rushing yards. Should Bell reach 1,000, it would mark the 10th time that a Bronco has rushed for 1,000 yards in the past 11 years and would make Bell the sixth Broncos rusher to reach the milestone figure in that span. ... Denver has allowed seven TDs through eight games, placing the team on track to permit only 14 for the season, which would surpass the NFL record for the fewest TDs allowed in a 16-game season (Baltimore, 18, 2000).

    That would be bragging rights for sure, I'll be rooting for that.

    There are two kinds of teams in the AFCW; The losers and the Broncos!!!

      If we are on pace for 14 TDs in a season, what's Raven's record then?

        Wow I really didn't know that Baltimore only allowed 18. That number never really seemed possible. Man if this D can do that then it will be historic. Although I think all they care about is the W/L record this would be great.

        I support EVERYTHING and EVERYONE orange and blue

            Don't think it will happen, but that would be awesome, don't know how many more times champ can bail us out in the red zone
            Go Broncos!

              screw that record (i mean its nice and all to have)

              but i want us to have a record for ZERO TDs allowed in the playoffs

              course will be harder with brandon out for the season, but we have a good replacement
              So far:
              FA- Melvin Gordon. Brandon Scherff
              1. Kenneth Murray LB; 2. Shenault WR; 2B. Biadazz Center, 3. OT

                The 2000 Ravens had 18 TD's allowed.

                If Denver can do this it would be quite a feat, but the difference between the 06 Broncos and 00 Ravens is they didnt allow TD's or a lot of yardage. The 06 Broncos will have allowed a ton of yardage but not a lot of TD's.

                  Well, you know they won't give one up to the Raiders.

                    Man I wish the Raiders would win 77-6 just to close this thread.

                    Seriously though, it's not impossible. But it is unlikely:

                    Worst case scenarios
                    @Oakland - 1 TD
                    San Diego - 1 TD
                    @Kansas City - 2 TDs
                    Seattle - 1TD
                    @San Diego 2 TDs
                    @Arizona - Unless you are what they think you are, 0 TDs
                    Cincinnati - 1 TD
                    San Francisco - 1 TD (garbage time)

                    That's 16 by my count, but I expect the games in KC & San Diego to be much higher.

                    And now the bad news: Manning in the playoffs.

                        Ravage!!!! is right. Oakland ain't scoring a TD against us. But I think Cincinnati is good for two.

                        You got the count right, but do you honestly expect the Raiders to score a TD after that debacle that only those with a strong stomach could watch last night?

                        The only people I know that watched that entire game were hardcore fans and gambling degenerates.
