  • Darius Watts signed by Giants! (merged)

Maybe it should be under "Other NFL Teams", but Darius Watts has a new team.

Glad to see someone picked him up. Maybe all those cards wont be worthless after all someday. Doubt it though, lol.

Changed the thread title so other's will see it, and wont repeat it.

Wow, I wish him the best. I really liked him while he was here. He is sneaky fast. I just don't think he was able to get in Shanny's good graces.

Yikes, he is going to be buried down the depth chart...

And he gets the joy of Sheli Manning throwing him the ball...

I still can't believe the Van Pelt found work before Watts.

There must really be an issue with his hand. Dude can get open.

Methinks "the claw" should have become a Texan with his other cut-buddies.

His hand was badly injured in a fire when he was younger and he suffered nerve damage in his hand.

But, he played with it all during college so it wasn't much of a factor in his evaluation at the pro-level.

Frankly, it's a presumption that the hand has anything to do with his tendency to drop passes.

Some college players just never make the adjustment to the NFL.

Most scouts thought Darius was a serious reach by Shanahan. He was picked WAY too early. He was really about a 5th round pick on most draft boards or later.

And they were right. Shanahan picked him because he liked Darius' ability to get open and his run after the catch ability.

But, you have to CATCH it before you can gain yards after the catch and Darius never learned that important part. He wasn't reliable and I don't epect him to be around the NFL for long.

Nothing against him. If he becomes a starter great! But, don't hold your breath. He'll be in the CFL before you know it.

I'm glad that he finally got picked up. he reminds me of the wr in the movie necessary ruffness. That dude had speed but couldnt catch a ball to save his life.

They released Cedric Humes from the practice squad we should nab him to ours.
