One of the things I really like about Lock is he has the ability to get short completions when the receiver is covered. He's done this consistently to keep the chains moving a few more times a game.. I haven't seen him make many bad throws. He's only had 3 ints in 5 games. The ability to make a few extra plays a game and avoiding sacks helps while not turning the ball over will win a lot of games.
He's not getting much help and he's consistently been put in negative situations. Compare him to every QB we've had since Peyton. Os did well for a stretch, but that was only with a Super Bowl team and Kubiak. Lock doesn't have any more help on offense than they did. Lock had Sutton and the others had Sanders and DT. Lock has clearly outplayed Flacco and Flacco had Sanders and Sutton.
Lock looks much better at this point in their careers than Cutler. Cutler took over a winning team that had a losing record with him. Lock took over a losing team and the Broncos had a winning record with him.

His dancing is very cringe but he’s having fun and I think the players we have on the team respond to him very well. It’s a very young team and I believe players always play harder for someone they relate to because they don’t want to let you down. A certain MVP front runner has that going for him on his team. Flacco just wasn’t that no one wants to play with someone that shows no emotion at all. I just hope Lock doesn’t lose that over his career like some of these greats have.
Even Von showed some vintage stuff yesterday despite the bum knee. First time I’ve seen him dip under a OT in a long time, granted he had to put his hand down to keep from falling whereas he didn’t when he was younger but it was still good to see. And I think it’s because he now has a QB on his team and one that enjoys the game.
Next season should be a good season, if for nothing else we will at least beat the teams we should and probably surprise a few others. Lock hit it dead on the money about having fun on Sunday after putting in all the hard work throughout the week. The games are your chance to show off so have fun doing it.

They almost lost this last game because the defense gave up a touchdown.
It might have been a different end to the game if the Raiders only needed a victory to get into the playoffs. They certainly would have taken the game into overtime, if that had been the case. You're Wrong!

I get that things feel better for everyone when they think the most important position in the game is secured. Lock certainly gives off that vibe, until he starts dancing. Von still has to give maximum effort, regardless of who’s at quarterback. You're Wrong!

29th best? Hmm. Nope. Looks solidly middle of the pack to me, and that's with these factors(among others) working against him:
1) a huge lack of practice throughout the year, starting in camp giving Hogan the majority of #2 reps
2) coming off of an injury
3) being a rookie, and the general lack of experience that comes with it
.
4.5 TD%
1.9 INT%
3.1 Sack%
Not a fumbler, decent mobility, good demeanor, leader.

Lets see. Drew Lock:
Record - 4 and 1
Passer rating - 89.7 (ahead of Rivers and Brady)
Only 3 pics out of 156 passes (1.9%, or just 0.6 per game). Rookies are known for multiple pic games...not this guy.
Only 5 sacks (3.2% of his passes, or just 1.0 per game)
Note: Flacco had 26 sacks or 9.9% of his passes
As I repeat....this kid has "ZIP"! The ball gets there in no time, and defenders have to blanket our receivers in order to prevent the completion. Arms like his can not be taught at this stage, other than perhaps additional strength training. You have strength or you better have accuracy! So far accuracy has not been a problem.
He is also mobile. Hence the low sack rate.
He looks confident, which can only motivate his peers.
And....he is likable.
We're set!!!!

Here's hoping we see a lot more of it for years to come.
Lock to Sutton for the touchdown. Has a nice ring to it.

Add to that his presser where he said (paraphrasing) "I think there's a couple of really good QBs nearby who played for this team. I plan on calling them to help me put together an offseason plan"
Freaking awesome. He's obviously bright and plans to use the resources around him to learn and improve. That's a true pro.
