Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Not sure we can blame this on the league. If we don't follow the protocol no point being a whiner. Whiners are losers.
Adam Schefter of ESPN was first to report that all three players were ineligible and were considered high-risk contacts of a person who tested positive -- and none of them was wearing a mask at the time.
Would be awesome if Hinton goes out and throws 300+, 4 TDs, and doesn't turn the ball over once. Not expecting a win now, which is really nice. Can only look up when your expectations are rock bottom. Good luck to the young man. Just hope Shurmur puts him in the best situations he can. Lean heavy on the run.
Why? One guy got it. All the others have tested negative. Obviously, the masks couldn't have done much better than the nothing they did wear. The NFL is just playing favorites. Gotta cater to their stars but everyone else gets screwed.
Like it or not, the NFL established rules and protocols and DEN didn’t follow them so they are being punished. No favorites here. Break the rules and you become vulnerable to be exploited.

The rules are nonsense anyway. They were in contact with someone that tested positive, while not wearing masks, and didn't get it. So why should they be punished? Because they didn't get sick? Like I said, the NFL is just playing favorites.

Right, I agree but do we really think the broncos are the only team that did this

Of course not. But given all of the inconvenience we suffered earlier in the year with postponements brought on by other teams' failures, you would have expected us to have set in place robust mechanisms to ensure that we met our requirements to the letter.
I am disappointed (once again) at the apparent lack of professionalism within the organisation.
How did the league confirm Jackson or Newton were not attending mtgs without masks? Or any other player added to the COVID list. Did the ask them? Or further proof?
Kind of ridiculous that the Broncos get screwed out of their bye week to accommodate the Pats but no consideration and arguably a display of the Broncos being “made an example” in this situation. Just odd.
Best of luck to the new QB Hinton. Looked up his stats and he was barely a QB. More of a gadget/ backup player. Five years at Wake and only 270 pass attempts. Not very accurate and as TD/ TO stats.
This season just keep getting more bizarre every week.
Imagine we still beat the Saints with no recognised QB
Defense gotta show up. If we can do to Hill what we did to Tua, we should have a chance. Strong D and a smashing run game is always the best winning strategy in football.
Since hearing news of this horrendous decision by the NFL, have had to go about my evening chores while exercising emotional restraint; when angry, have a tendency to lose motor control, applying too much force to a task sometimes resulting in breakage.
This is a sick joke by the league. They cleared Denver to practice after Driskel went into quarantine. By requiring the Broncos to play with no QBs they are creating a ridiculous situation in which some guys will be unnecessarily injured. The game should not be played under the circumstances they are dictating.
If it was up to me, the players would gather at Dove Valley in the morning and have the ramifications of a forfeit explained, after which every player would receive a ballot to vote in secret to play or forfeit without any discussion. If they voted to forfeit, would send them home and have no one from the team go to the stadium.
If the game takes place, it will be a challenge to the sense of good sportsmanship for the players and coaching staffs of both teams. Sean Payton should be carefully observed in view of the fact he presided over a situation with the Saints that resulted in his suspension for the 2012 season.
This is crap. This is the second time the NFL has hosed the Denver Broncos this season. They wouldn't do this to a team from the Eastern Time Zone.

While I both agree and disagree with many posts in this thread I have to lean towards champ on this one. Jay really needs to learn how to manage the game better, and also to learn that you don't have to go for the big play EVERY time on every drive. There is something to be said to check the ball down and live to fight another day. -Great Post Cut the Excuses out please. sigh...
Nah, that would be Lock who you all love so much. Kap has shown more than any qb on our roster
