Pat has not called a Good game at all this entire year it has been nothing but atrocious. Pat was fired from Like 20 othet NFL teams if he was so great why did all of the other Teams not retain him? It was because he is just horrible at his Job and should be replaced like right now.
Several times he wasn't retained because other teams hired him to be their HC. 2011 he was replaced as OC of the Rams because he was hired by the Browns as HC. In 2015 he was replaced by the Eagles as part of a sweeping change to their entire coaching staff. In 2017 he was replaced by the Vikings as OC because he was hired by the Giants as their HC. In fact he's never been fired as an OC when it wasn't part of the entire staff being replaced, and that only happened once.

As for him calling a good game, he called a great game against the Dolphins. He's called several bad games, and there are a few other where it's hard to tell because the QB play was so poor.

The only way the Broncos should replace him is if the replace the entire coaching staff, or if they've decided to abandon Lock and move on. But if they do that then why not just replace the entire staff and start fresh with a new staff and new QB.

As an OC he's been fired exactly once, in 2015 by the Eagles. And that was part of replacing the entire staff.

He's lucky he's had a job this long.
Based on the way this season started for the Broncos, at this point is anyone actually surprised that it got worse? The team resides under a very dark cloud and when it rains, it pours.

On a positive note, we should be grateful and happy we aren't Jets fans.

he wont be able he has coached 5-6 teams in total and got fired twice as a HC. but i don't think he has been fired as a OC. he was the OC in St Louis 09-10 and moved to HC for Cleveland. then got fired he was with Philly as there OC(13-15) after that got interm hc then left for Minne so maybe he got fired there but when a HC gets fired normally there whole staff. then he was OC for Minnesota (part of 16 and all of 17) then moved on to nyg. where he was fired as a HC. then he came here.

Denver seems to have sold it soul a little bit for the great times under Manning. Now we're in the wilderness, at some point things will get better.

What was done to the Broncos literally destroyed the offense yesterday.

Given the circumstances, we managed a major miracle in not getting completely shut out. McManus came through....again.

And your turnover rate wouid be much nigher.

Unless of course they are hoping to land the best QB in the draft!

This game is a tough one to look at what Shurmur does but there are signs in the game of what he has been doing all year.

It has become clear to me Shurmur is a coach who has a plan...he has a bigger plan and if by chance we have the players to execute his plan then maybe it will work.

Problem is Shurmur's plan requires squares and triangles....we have circles and diamonds. Even if we were to find squares and triangles...or develop them...what happens when they leave....what happens when they retire or get hurt?

For success in the NFL one needs a coach who recognizes the skillsets he has and builds a season plan, game plan and plays around the skills sets he has...and does not have. This is important because players get hurt....need a coach flexible enough to make things work when player choice gets limited....or when the defense shut down what the coach wants to do.

Almost every opportunity I have seen for Shurmur to show he can do this he has failed....there are a couple exceptions but even a blind squirrel will find a nut once in a while.
Time to build on the win and grow the team from some solid play higher level of play

I was curious if I would see a thread like this after today’s game.... not totally shocked but still can’t understand some folks, lol.
Personal goals: GOAL WEIGHT = 250lbs
Weight loss needed for FGW = 120 lbs
Weight lost so far: - 24 lbs

Or the player that everyone believes to be the best QB in the draft now. Remember in 2012 Andrew Luck was the greatest QB prospect since John Elway. Every team wanted him, several teams tried to sabotage the 2011 season to get him. Here we are in 2020 and Luck wasn't the best player chosen in the first round of that draft. He wasn't the best QB in that draft, Russell Wilson was. And at this point in time he's not even the best QB to have been taken in the first round, Tannehill is still playing, so he is.

The hype is so high on Trevor Lawrence, and has been for 3 years, that he's going to have to lead the Jets to the playoffs in year 1 (Andrew Luck did do that with the Colts) and show signs of being one of the top QBs in the NFL in year 1, or he's going to face a massive amount of "bust" talk. It's not fair to him to say this, but there's almost zero chance he can live up to the hype surrounding him, at least early in his career.

No imagination/ creativity. At least game plan to the players strength. Let Freeman throw a pass, If we are going to draw up plays in the dirt give everyone a crack at making a play.

Shame on our QB's but then again many mistakes are made every day. Did the NFL blow this up ? Lets see what next week brings.

In the ONE game where fans should literally have zero expectations— they still find a way to complain.

Sure, call more screen passes or quick outlet throws— but guess what, the Saints aren’t stupid. They’d be all over that too. One could combine the offensive minds of Shanahan/Reid/Roman/Kingsbury for this game and they probably wouldn’t have fared much better than Shurmur did.

We started practice squad wide receiver Kendall Hinton at QB with less than 24 hours to gameplan for today’s game. Yet some posters have the audacity to make a thread like this— it’s kind of ridiculous.

How much game planning do you think can be done in under 24hrs? It's not very realistic to think much can be done.
