Three games started and not finished in 2019 for 63 snaps.

Do we now insert Meinerz as a starting G/C and start Risner at RT?
At this point in time, Muti is probably Munchak's number six guy.

Heart breaks for this guy, the end of his career has been a lot of misfortune, and he gets a lot of unwarranted vitriol here. By all accounts he's a really good dude, I remember him doing stuff in the community and denver area schools. Hope he gets to play again, he's the same age as Bolles.

63 and he's collected $17,150,000 from the Broncos so far which works out to $272,222.22 per snap. It might be a bit more if the Broncos have to pay any more of his contract.

Really bad luck for him. The fan reaction whether fair or not is at least understandable. Injuries aside, he opted out last year, which was not a popular move for someone highly paid but who had hardly played to that point.

No way. Who could have possibly foreseen something like this happening.

Did anyone really expect him to be a reliable part of the team this year, or ever? Probably better that his inevitable departure happened early enough to hopefully address it.

New report says he won’t miss season. Will undergo surgery. Lol. Guess him and his agent trying to ensure he gets paid.

                        JA'WUAN JAMEST, DENVER BRONCOS
NFL Network's Mike Garofolo reports doctors are hopeful that Broncos RT Ja'Wuan James (torn Achilles') will not miss the entire 2021 season.

Garafolo added that James will undergo surgery later in the week. Then the team will be able to place a more accurate timetable on his recovery. It was initially reported that James would miss the 2021 season but now it looks like he has a chance to return before the season ends. James is still likely to be out for much of the upcoming season which creates a problem for Denver at right tackle. Dalton Risner has played left guard for the Broncos over the past two years but could be moved outside. Calvin Anderson, a former practice squad player with the Jets, was projected to be James' backup before the injury.

I’m not entirely sure the Broncos were banking on him staying healthy. Cushenberry showed some promise when asked to pull from the C position, the FO has stated they see Meinerz as a C, Risner played a lot of RT in college, LGs are generally going to be your best pulling olineman or at least a very capable one. Knowing all of that, I think the contingency plan very well may have been to put Meinerz in at C, have Cushenberry slide over to LG, and kick Risner out to RT in the event of a James injury. This happening after the draft sucks, but it’s good that it happened before any of the mandatory camps started. At least now Anderson will get a crack at it to show if he can be a solid RT in what will likely be an open competition.

What come back in December when we are pretty much around 4-9 or 5-9?
