Surgery to remove a bone spur, out 6-8 weeks. All that potential wasted on a weak body.

True. Hopefully he can come back stronger than ever. Maybe.

Bet they are kicking themselves for picking up his option. Lordy what a waste of a pick this guy is trending toward. And I am not in the camp of those who foolishly think Josh Allen would have been the EXACT same guy with the EXACT development in Denver that he got in Buffalo with the front office in Denver and the coaching staffs that have passed through, but I don't think Chubb was the right pick in hindsight.

Is this guy related to Ja' Wuan James?????
          Or Jarvis Moss?

Maybe a Cousin or relative ?

They should have elected for the surgery back towards the beginning of training camp. Oh well. Only Week 3 and now 3 defensive starters are out... Jewell for the season, Chubb for a majority of the season, and Darby for another couple weeks. Fortunately for Reed, he has plenty of starting experience to play well opposite Miller. Cooper will also get a tremendous opportunity as the primary rotational EDGE, with Mintze in the wings as well.

Shame he can't pair up with Miller at the moment. I'm sure he's just as frustrated as anyone about it. I do have confidence we can keep things on a good trajectory by the time he gets back. Our depth on defense with Fangio running the show and Bridgewater keeping the offense on the level should keep us in contention. I'd be excited if we can keep it rollng and then get a huge boost down the stretch with Chubb and then head into the post season with a ton of momentum.

We may want to consider making some kind of move because the AFC West Qbs are going to have a field day against the pass rush I have seen so far.

Jeudy, Glasgow, Chubb, Jewell, Darby. Some serious talent missing time already not even 3 weeks into the season.

This is a bit depressing... at least Chubb and Juedy will be back this season.. I know Jewell is out for the year but what about Glasgow and Darby?

I don't hold much against Elway since he is the reason I became a Broncos fan here in NJ but I can't get past the fact that he let Shaq Barrett walk. The right move then would have been to trade Chubb for a 1st and sign Shaq Barrett. This isn't in hindsight since at the time Shaq was a bonafide pass rusher.

Shaq was terrific as a backup EDGE. But Chubb was a top-5 pick coming off an amazing rookie season where he set the franchise rookie record for sacks (12.0) which toppled Von’s previous mark. To trade him for a 1st after that season and re-sign a player who was essentially what Malik Reed is to us today is definitely hindsight speaking. Sure, it hurt our depth— but there was no path for Barrett to start and I’m sure that’s what he was looking for as he was an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

                            This.

It would be nice if things had gone smoother or if we could have found a way to keep Barrett.... but yeah... Barrett over Chubb at the time wasn't a question at all. They were both on the 2018 squad, and Chubb got 12 sacks to Shaq's 3. Shaq had a great year after that, but he also only had half a sack more than Chubb last year - 8 vs 7.5, despite missing one fewer game and being on a team that was playing from ahead a lot more frequently.

Glasgow has been clearing his tests, and barring any kind of set back, I'd expect to see him back in the lineup in the next week. Darby is on short term IR, but with a slight tear in his hamstring, I'd be surprised if we saw him again for at least another month. Hope I'm wrong about that, but Surtain has stepped up big time in his spot, as we all saw on Sunday.
