In fairness, Teddy B is learning a new system this year, so do only certain players get the excuses?
Teddy isn’t really learning a new system, Shurmur was with him in Minnesota. Teddy was still recovering but he still would’ve been learning the system. This has been closer to a refresher course.

Starting Rypien is not some inspirational Disney movie spark that would magically raise our team's overall level of play. What can he do that Teddy or Lock can't already do? Starting someone else for the sake of starting someone else is a recipe for a good ole' tank job. He's a good QB3 for what it is worth.
Brett Rypien is probably a terrific scout team QB which is valuable during weekly practice. His value can be seen when he was signed to the roster from PS to prevent his being poached.

Yep, he's a good QB to have on our roster in that specific role. If he wasn't, the coaching staff and front office would have been more than willing to let him get snatched up by Houston or whatever team was close to signing him.

I think they should put a certificate under a random seat in the stadium. If you’re sitting in that seat you get to be the QB for that game. They can put ones out there for HC and OC too.

Yes...and Kyle Sloter was an MVP prospect that just never got the chance to play...

If Rypien was better thah Teddy he would be playing. Just because Teddy is not setting the world alight doesn't mean the team's 3rd QB is better than him.

Kyle Sloter just got cut from Raiders...

Say what you will, the kid looked great in Blue and Orange for a minute there...

He looked great in Minnesota too. I’ll never understand how he never got a chance in the regular season.

I highly doubt there's another Denver QB who could match Teddy's rate of 106.1 (same as Mahomes), yards/attempt of 7.9 (same as Brady), completion % of 69.8 (better than majority of QBs), and have but 1 interception, to date. His 7 TDs (Lamar has 8) are on the low side, but we do have a run game.

Stay the course with Teddy, unless he falters, or we are out of it.

If we can avoid another slow start this weekend, there is hope. So frustrating to see all this wasted talent year after year...

Vic looks like he's sleepwalking... Somebody needs to slip him a Red Bull

Not hard to put good numbers up against really bad teams.

Yes, and as we saw him fail to close the game last Sunday he had the same issue in Carolina. He had a strong comp % in Carolina but he was 4-11.

Problem is..next year's crop of college QBs...not very exciting
