Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Thank goodness we gave up on Lock after 1.5 seasons
We ruined him by letting a good OC go for a washed up OC that calls bad game regardless of who his QB is. Absolutely ruined Lock’s development. Only in Denver…
Kid never even got a real offseason. He had a nice report with Sutton and was developing one with Fant (who was actually productive with Lock and even with Driskel). It's a dang shame the work Lock put in in the offseason was all for naught in the face of that faux qb competition.
It's all but over now though and we can just pray for the next poor young QB to get fed to Denver.

I personally thought Vic scapegoating Scangarello was a huge mistake. That offense got noticeably better as the season went on. Dude actually used 13 personnel regularly. He just needed to get a little better at feeling the flow of a game.
Shurmur calls plays like he’s playing Madden. There’s really no flow and he just gets fixated on shotgun 3 wides no matter the situation. There’s no deception. There’s no building on plays. Just lame pass happy 3 wides over an over with some runs sprinkled in so he can mark it off his checklist. Terrible OC. Don’t like his offense at all. It’s boring, predictable and ineffective

I wasn’t completely sold on Lock coming out of Missouri. Praised him when he showed improvement and was critical of him when he regressed. He definitely struggled in relief a couple of weeks back.
It’s clear Teddy isn’t up to the task. Lock may have one more shot if Teddy falls apart vs Browns, and that is a good possibility. Lock might not have a chance to stay in Denver but maybe he can begin to set himself up for another team.
Lock didn't get a training camp last season and neither did the two rookies he was throwing to. Sutton was out the entire season. New offensive coordinator and new playbook. He totally sucked under those circumstances. If he was decent he would have overcome all that and won another Lombardi for Denver.
Drew Lock isn't a good player. Sorry, but he's just not.
Teddy isn't very good either, but he's not why they're losing.
Yea Teddy's 4 turnovers and 2 long ball misses to Sutton that took 10 points off the board when the game was still in question totally didn't lose them the game. It was all Lock's fault for not properly holding a clipboard on the sideline.

Lmao… so lock who was on his 2nd OC and scheme, with no offseason, and the youngest offense in the league flat out sucks, and i assume why we lost
meanwhile with same coaches, team, scheme, players
TB doesnt suck, in his what 7th season, 5th team … its simply a bad offense, bad OC, bad oline, no talent around him, bad HC, bad management, bad owner situation
This Lock talk is merely copium. I guarantee he does no better under the current circumstances and with the same exact coaching staff. Teddy was awful today, there’s no doubt about it. If Lock won the preseason, why isn’t he starting? Just ask yourself would it make sense for a coaching staff, no matter how evidently inept, to NOT start someone they thought would give them a better chance of winning football games???
Just because Lock worked hard and was silent throughout OTAs and minicamp doesn’t entitle him to the job. He has to go out there and deliver, each and every day. Lock was the incumbent and managed to lose the competition. If it was close, you’d think they would give the starting QB job to the one who already had familiarity with the playbook and existing chemistry with the guys, right? They didn’t.
Lock didn’t have a proper training camp last year, correct! But guess who else didn’t and also had a new offensive system installed— Herbert and Mayfield. Competition is brought in and he split reps with Teddy. So tell me why Teddy, who was brought in just this April and had to re-learn Shurmur’s offense, beat him?
