Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Yeah, that LA vibe, especially The Chargers, is not ideal. I take LA to be a basketball/baseball haven, with football and hockey as lesser on the popularity scale.
The hockey fans are rabid there is just not that many of them compared to Lakers/Dodgers.
Football probably last in the city. Hopefully this year another playoff run garners more fans. IMO they should have tried to give LA a new team. Lot of hurt feelings over teams leaving.
LA is not as into football as other places. Yea they pretty excited about the Von Miller trade and direction of team. Just not as into it as other places.

So is the Rams' fanbase quite positive these days? I would suspect they are. Good QB, excellent receivers, and RB. Aaron flippin Donald plus other good Dmen. Modern day coach. GM/Exec who are willing to go for it. Looks good to me.

I live in LA so I get a lot of news on the Rams without even trying. The amount of strategy and detail that goes into the football team is crazy. Wish they would spend a little more time on the stadium food but as long as they winning people will say it is all good.
Can you imagine the posters here if Elway/Paton did to the Broncos draft picks what the Rams have done to theirs? Even at 1 loss there would be many posters just waiting for the moment to drop the fire hammer.

Yeah. I only grabbed a couple of stats to show that Miller was no slouch, and with a lesser talented team around him than in 2015. The Rams have positioned themselves to win it all this year, which was clearly demonstrated by their trade for Stafford. They are looking for the right pieces, and I suspect they are ok with overpaying a wee bit for the players they want. It makes sense to me. You don't have to over-negotiate if you get the player(s) you have selected, though I am sure they did not overpay much if at all. They have a plan, and so far it is working.

Drafting Chubb is the reason Von is no longer here. Just my opinion for sure and alot of variable at play that could make my statement incorrect. But based on what we know I believe that to be true.
I do not know if he got a say like the poster said you qouted but if he had a say the Rams would have been on his list I would think. He gets to play with Donald on the front and Ramsey is still a play maker in the back. He definitely will not have to worry about the offense holding up their end for the first time since 2014. LA is going to enjoy his personality.
Von Miller will suit the city of LA, for sure. He definitely has the swagger and fashion taste for tinsel town.
I've given it a day I just can not come to terms with this. I will be rooting for Von in LA but I can't get over it just can't. Other than Elway he is my Favorite Bronco of all time.
It's all rigged anyway. Don't let it get you down too much.

According to reports Von was 5th in QB pressures in the NFL this year before he missed last week.
Some only look at sacks but being an effective defender in the NFL is about more than just sacks. Even the past years when Von was playing and people were complaining he was not getting sacks multiple people broke down film and showed even when he was not getting sacks he was opening the door for other players to make plays with his pressures.
There is a reason we got a 2nd and 3rd for Von. His age and recent injuries brought it down to a 2nd and 3rd...his play on the field has been solid.
It will be very interesting to see how much he gets paid in the off season. I think it will be more the JJ Watt got. Unless Von decides to take a deal to play with a contender.

I’m guessing he’s not too bummed about going to LA, playing in a new swanky stadium and competing for a ring.
