The Broncos are essentially playing Alabama's CFB team in Detriot.

I expect a dominating win by Denver, similar to the win against Dallas.

I do not feel good about stating "if the Broncos lose today's game one or more coaches/front office staff should get fired". But regarding "nothing will happen until the Broncos are mathematically eliminated from playoffs" will definitely happen much sooner than later.

The last 3 games (Raiders, Dolts, both away games, then ending the season with the Chiefs....all will most likely be losses and could very well be us getting pounded out of the stadiums.

There's nothing more I would like to see than the Broncos finishing the last 5 games with strong play and quality coaching decisions but 2022 is going to start looking like a much needed fresh beginning, again, that needs to happen....As....Soon....As....Possible...!!!!!!!!! ! IMO

As for the "someone gets fired" commentary....there's very little chance that folks get fired before the postseason, whether we get in or not. There is, in my opinion, a very good probability that one or more non players will be gone in the new year. Losing a game likely has little bearing on the timing and change in staff. Unless we get into the playoffs and win at least one game, changes will occur.

So logically speaking, a win is a good thing for a majority of reasons: good for the players, good for the fans, good for the brand. It does not guarantee any type of playoff assurances. We are currently ranked at or near the bottom of those in the hunt.

Bottom line for me...win, win, win. Against whoever is in front of us. I strongly believe Paton has his mind made up for next year's group of coaches/player strategy.

Enjoy the game, especially this one, in respect and sadness over the loss of a great young man!

Worst team in the league, missing a bunch of starters, the game is home......absolutely no excuse for losing. If they do, people need to be fired immediately.

This is the most confident I've been in the Broncos heading into a game since 2015.

If the Broncos lose at home against the worst team in the NFL it might be a large dark cloud with a bright silver lining......

    "People will get fired immediately"

I'm thinking starting over in 2022 is the thing to do if we lose or barely sweek by with a win today.

Reports are Lions will be without 19% of their roster after placing people on Covid List

Detroit Lions will be without at least 10 players, or 19% of their 53-man roster, due to injury or illness vs. Denver Broncos

The Lions placed two more players, cornerbacks Ifeatu Melifonwu and Mark Gilbert, on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, bringing the total number of COVID cases to six in the six days since their 29-27 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

On Monday, the Lions placed center Evan Brown on COVID IR. On Thursday, cornerback Bobby Price joined Brown on the list. And Friday, the Lions placed safety Tracy Walker and running back Jamaal Williams on reserve/COVID.

The Lions, who also declared three players out (and a fourth doubtful) because of injuries, will be without 19% of their 53-man roster for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

I expect 400-500 yds of offence. this will be the Broncos Best effort of the year, also don't count the defense out as they will make a statement of their own. Go Broncos.

This is especially true at the pro level. Such is the nature of the game played with an actual football on a real football field by human football players.

Anyone else who wants to be negative is welcome to their pessimistic defense mechanism cocoon. Their fear of losing exceeds the drive to win which is what keeps a team going.
Yes, it's easy for us to sit back and assume that a so called "easier" game is easy, when it's not. Not at this level. Opponents put in their work as well, all week, and players want to play good ball, because as athletes they are used to putting in the work, and achieving accordingly. They are almost exclusively winners too. That's been their life.

Maybe "any given Sunday' gets used a bit too much, but it's a very realistic commentary on life in the big leagues. Like I said about last week, The Lions won their 1st game of the season and they looked like they won The Super Bowl! Good on them. They did not give up, nor did their coaches/management. And no doubt they are excited about the prospects of going two straight, in our house.

A W for us tomorrow is a W in the standings, and a big one it might be when the dust settles at season's end.

I understand that line of thinking, because this base has discussed "a few times", but Jeudy, Sutton and the others can make big plays once they get the ball. Not every RB or WR gets perfect passes thrown to them on every target situation. Great players make things happen, whether the pass is where it should, or when it should be. It's a fair expectation but I've seen incredible plays over the decades, and many of them were not because of the QB's pass. My goodness, a seemingly ordinary TE - Gesicki, makes one handed catches almost every game.

We can debate TB and his flaws, but occasionally we can expect players around him to do their part, and in some cases, do special things. Great RBs make yards out of dust. Not because of the lanes that are open but because they anticipate, and athletically make it happen. Watch film of Barry Sanders.

Could be his breakout game for this year!

It would be great to see the WRs excel in this game. They deserve it!
