Haha.....this is lighter than serious.
For some time we've suffered with losing seasons, HC and QB concerns, and Ownership problems as well. We debated, argued (which is an ok thing FTR), and no doubt went too far a number of times. Most of it is passion, because sports fans have that to the nth degree. It comes with competition, and it comes with love of the game.
So it appears we are on the verge of a pretty interesting overhaul. And it is merging into what could be a perfect storm, and in this case, in a good way. And given we were in some alignment on the issues at hand, particularly QB/OC and ownership though at a less discussed level, we should be excited about the prospects of change.
But change often comes with a few bumps and some sacrifice. So many times I saw how reorganizations in my company, even though the right thing to do, led to some mishaps and most certainly some pain for various groups and certainly individuals. The ole "odd man out" phrase often applied. I remember one significant reorg where I and some others spoke personally with the VP, to improve one manager's situation. He was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. But I am glad we stood up, because it was worth the fight, and it did pay off in the end. Not everyone takes those risks in reorgs, and in fact, some behaviour is distasteful given the selfishness and "me first" mindset of some people.
I digress.
So the good news, and it's mostly good from my perspective, we will not only have major change but major opportunity to discuss all that is Broncos over the offseason. BUT, where there's discussion, there will be differences all over again. That's expected of a message board. Lets be real, no matter who ends up in what position after the smoke clears, there will be serious alternative views. I may love each of the changes, and someone else might dislike each one. So it's not an assumption that what we mostly all wanted will lead to harmony and peace....and flowers in our hair. Singing together by the fire might erupt into some wrestling and expletives.
But hey, if we are hanging together by a friendly fire, at least we can share a few bubblies, laugh hopefully, and in spite of differences of opinion, be excited about The Broncos' future!
