I agree. It's not but he is 4-13 as a starter here. He has a history of winning in the 4th quarter. He's known for dramatic game winning 4th quarter comebacks. Where did that go? I'm always an optimist and think it can get better but Russ's time is running out quickly. He probably only has until the bye week to get it right, unfortunately

All I know, is we're not winning many games with RW as our quarterback, For numerous different reasons, but one of them is definitely that our quarterback is suspect.

There's a lot of balls batted down, and there's a lot of open receivers that he can't see, there are passes that lesser quarterbacks are making that he's not. it's just not working out.

He’s a journeyman vet at this point. When he moves on will be a backup like Fitz, maybe a starter with a desperate team.

It is without question one of the worst trades in NFL history and the worst trade in Broncos history (at least as far back as I can remember). The Wilson trade made our cap situation untenable, gave away much needed draft capital considering the lack of talent on this roster, and more than anything it committed the franchise to a guy who is over-the-hill and grossly overpaid. This is the type of move the Al Davis Raiders would make.

However, I think Paton has moves that rival this in terms of damage. Hiring Nathaniel Hackett to lure Rodgers (which failed miserably, what a surprise) gave us the worst coach in Broncos history.

I might get grilled for this, but for me Paton's worst move was drafting Surtain over Micah Parsons. Surtain is a wonderful talent, one of the truly elite corners in the game. However, an elite corner is nowhere near the value of an elite LB and pass rusher. Parsons is a future HOFer, a Von Miller type of defender whose presence alone pretty much makes your D a top 15 unit. When Surtain was drafted, we were not one player away from completing the defense. The Broncos will still deeply flawed but they elected to draft for positional need instead, which is almost always a bad move in the draft.

Paton needs to be canned after this year, and honestly people kind of owe Elway an apology. He had his flaws, yes, but he also helped construct one of the greatest defenses the league has ever seen. He successfully lured an elite QB and the team has suffered since he has been pushed away.

Anyway, enough ranting. With luck, the Broncos will end up with a top 2 pick this year and either end up with Williams or Marvin Harrison Jr., two potentially generational guys. If we can't win the Williams lottery, we have to pray that Payton is able to land a Brees-like home run so we don't have to watch Wilson under center for another year.

May respect parts of his game and competitive fire.

But his eye poke in the second Q was as classless a cheap shot on that field all game. Hard to respect that move.

If anybody would want Russell Wilson and take his contract, we would give them a third round pick or fourth round pick and Russell Wilson just to get rid of him .

The best thing that could ever happen to this organization is if he would retire or leave or some team would be dumb enough to trade for him.

I want him to work out for the Broncos, but how long do we have to wait to see something????
If he was a rookie we would have been fire and brimstone by now, Lynch mob mentality, run him out of town etc etc.

He hasn't done better than Case Keenum, Trevor Siemian, Teddy Bridgewater, or Drew Lock. He did a little bit better than Paxton Lynch, at this point he's a little bit better than Paxton Lynch.
