I ask the same Question. Jerry got more out of the Team in 2 Weeks vs What Hack could do in 15 Weeks. So why is Denver set in stone to not give the Keys to Jerry? Jerry would be my 1st Choice however what do the Fans know right lol 😂?

A couple of really good reasons:

1) He's older and he already retired once. The grind of a HC job in the NFL would be quite a strain on him

2) We're looking at two games played in a very unique situation - that can't really give an accurate view of how the team would do with him in charge. Hackett was fired in a dramatic way and the team's behavior was cited as the reason it was done quickly. That alone should have caused the players to focus more and try harder. Also, Rosburg made immediate changes by firing coaches and changing up the roster, as well as going with a different play caller on Offense while he managed the games. That should have had an impact on focus and effort as well. If you want to take those two games and extrapolate them out over an entire season any way? We were 1-1 over those two weeks. We lost as many division games as we won. We should expect better than that. Could Rosburg get us better than that? Maybe so. Maybe not. But the point is that we don't really know, we're just happy that the team looked a lot better with him in charge. So...get used to expecting competency from the coaching staff because what we saw in the last two weeks of the season is our new floor.

You don’t want Shaw anywhere near the Broncos offense. His offense at Stanford was conservative, predictable, and stubbornly unchanging. It worked for a while with players like Luck and Cmac, but his play calling cost them two bowl games. One Rose Bowl against M State when he called the jumbo run up the middle after a timeout with the game on the line. Everyone knew it was coming, especially the Mich State defense who had practiced it for a month. Literally any misdirection of that play would have scored. Instead the LB met the back at the LOS. Game over. Fiesta Bowl time running down, but Luck was killing OSU. They couldn’t stop him. Stanford marched down the field in chunks. As soon as they got in FG range, Shaw took the ball out of Luck’s hands, called a couple run plays that lost yardage, and turned it over to the kicker who promptly missed the FG. They went on to lose in OT. Those were the good years. It got ugly after the talent level dropped, but Shaw continued to roll out the same offense. Hard no to Shaw.

Those Two Weeks were 10 Times better than the Previous 15 Weeks. So If I had my way Jerry would be the HC as to me he more than proved that he could handle the Job with no problems. The Team was more prepared the last two weeks the. the previous ones so his body of work speaks volume to me.

Well, with the Chargers losing in epic fashion last night. Staley is probably on the hot seat and Paytons job if he wants it. It might be Harbaugh or bust for us now

As I've been saying on this forum. He was never gonna leave, I'm from Michigan, grandfather played for the team and still has a relationship with the school, and of course I'm a fan of the school/team. Harbaugh does this, he flirts the idea of leaving to the NFL to get a new contract. Jim isn't even the Highest paid coach in the Big ten, Michigan can easily make him that and he knows.

Between the Harbaugh's, the Payton's, and all those who have been mentioned, it's far too early to conclude anything. Their reasons for talking to us or any other team are fair and square. Same goes for us wanting to talk.

Patience. The Broncos will have a HC next year, and I really don't care who it is, just as long as they are effective/productive.
