Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

How will McVay stepping away impact Broncos coaching candidates?
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay plans to take some time away following the conclusion of the year to consider his future, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.
Nobody will want that job if McVay walks. That means Donald will walk and a decent chance Stafford hangs it up too. Kupp will be 30 (I believe) and a team that truly has no draft capital. They haven't drafted in the 1st round in something like 4 years?? They have a 2nd, 3rd and 3 6's...that's it
I don’t think he’s leaving, might be a leverage move for more cash and an extension. Heard somewhere that if he goes into broadcasting he’ll get something like 25 mil a year.

Interesting when some say all these jobs like HC or GM of any NFL team is a job everyone wants. There are times (points to our GM) that someone may not want some of these jobs.
There was a lot of rumors going around in LA about this particular thing. Still trying to find out what was just talk and what actually happens with the HC for the Rams.
I think if McVay just wants to take a year off due to family issues than some of the experienced coaches may not want to be a 1 year HC.
If McVay leaves for good I think just about everyone will like this job unless they seeking the HC+GM role in which case they probably would not have come to Denver either.

It's an NFL head coaching job, obviously someone will want it but I wouldn't put them ahead of Denver as the most desired place.
If by place you mean city, most people would choose Los Angeles. If by place you mean team, that's very debatable.
Aaron Donald almost retired last year. He definitely will bail if McVay leaves. Kupp will be 30 and on the decline. Stafford is rumored to retire if McVay leaves too. And on top of all that they have a whopping 2.9 mil in cap space to play with. Imo, Denver is in a much better situation

each coach will probably have a different thing to say about that. maybe some will have similar things to say
talking about all the possible candidates and all their each opinion involves a lot of assumptions.
I can see why some would think a team like Denver which has struggled coach after coach after coach for many years may be less desirable than a team like the Rams who won the SB last year as one way of many ways of looking at the job
Most people would not choose Los Angeles as people are migrating out of there and California.
People with money or entertainment aspirations are choosing Los Angeles over Denver, IMO. There is a reason to go the other way, but with Colorado getting bluer, the reason is becoming less relevant.

I can speak from first hand experience it is very difficult to supervise/manage people in California. I know HRs of corporations (least 3 major corporations for sure) are fully aware of how much more difficult it is to manage people in California. Many companies are trying to leave California.
People/business leave because of the cost of living yes but it is not the only reason.
When jobs leave the state so do the people.
The NFL will probably keep its teams in California but I can fully understand why someone may not want to manage people in California.

More people are leaving Colorado than are moving in.
