I am a bit surprised, but quite pleased! He's the right person to get this O moving again. If he and Wilson can bond to some level, as did Brees, it's a big plus.

Yes, the compensation is tough. given all the capital we've lost, but these things do not come cheap.

I may be wrong, but this may not have come about with any front office. The new gang are wealthy, smart, business minded, and winners in so many ways.

You can get some great players in the draft. Very seldom can you get a player who has a larger influence on the team than the HC though.

Payton is a good choice here to help turn around all that went wrong. I strongly suspect we'll look a bit better next year. Hot take.
