Paton hired Hackett. That bad coach was on him. I'm so sick of the excuses that are made as to why the Broncos got worse under him. There's a reason why power was taken from him and that Payton will not report to him. Paton is overrated as a GM.

Watching the Nuggets game and seeing Payton sitting there court-side talking to Russ damn near the whole game is pretty cool!

Tim Patrick is sitting next to Russ.

        Love to see it!

I totally understand and agree with some of the criticisms of GP. Here’s the thing, though. I’m willing to see how he and SP work together. I think it’s very important for the HC and GM to work as a united front. I don’t mind if SP takes the lead. It makes sense because he’s that kind of guy. If he and GP work well together, then things will go very well.

In all honesty, I think this pairing has a good chance of working. I think a hard headed GM would probably clash with SP.

I’m willing to give it a chance and see how these two work together. It looks like they have a decent relationship so far.

I agree with you. Paton has a bad track record for organizational level decisions but he's been "fairly" good with personnel where he has committed to focusing on it. I don't agree with the positions that he's focused on in the draft but he's been fairly successful with those picks. Now if a guy like Payton can come in and give sound direction for Paton to focus on, I think it could be a good match.

As long as we drafting in the top 10 / top 5 than everyone in the franchise should worry about their job imo

From the GM / HC to the scouts to the person answering the phones.

Everyone on the team franchise needs to figure what they can do to help win games or start making sure their resume is up to date.

That is how business in pro sports works.
When you want to feel negative about the Broncos think of this. Detroit Lions have 1 playoff win in the Super Bowl era in 1992 (1991 season). They are 0-3 in the playoffs since 2000.

Not the first time they been together and talking.

SP did many interviews during Super Bowl week. He talked about having dinner with Wilson and things went well. He talked about how Wilson was constantly on Brees about SP coming to Denver before it was official. Apparently Wilson and Brees live close.

It is obvious now Wilson is not the QB he was being advertised to be. He can not carry a franchise like Rodgers, PM or Elway. Stories I am hearing tell me Wilson knows this.

it is good SP is here. He has a good vision imo. It sounds like ALL the players are buying in. A lot more needs to happen but that is a really good start.

                    This would be good?

(Courtland Sutton instead of Jeudy and lower picks, would be better, IMO.)

We don't see many Pro Bowl linebackers on the move via trade in the offseason. Yet Devin White could suit up for a new team in the upcoming NFL season at his…

Him going to the chargers would be a nightmare.

I still think we should trade Sutton before he blows out his knee again.

I think we should try to resign J.J. ASAP.

I just can’t see White’s value being that high, also with no QB on their roster they would lose Jeudy anyway once his contract is up. And as good as White can be, he has his own inconsistencies so giving him the deal he’s looking for would be a huge gamble. I’d go the cheaper route and see what the asking price on Patrick Queen is, or if you want to be more expensive look into Dre Greenlaw.
