Just watched a presser and I am 100% sold on OL Mike McGlinchey as he was talking about bringing back that winning feeling to Denver. Mike knows what it takes to win from his time in S.F. I am also impressed with Blogs R.W. Looks Trimmed Down and stated that he has had the best offseason ever. Russ looks like he is now on a mission. Russ looks ready to Ball. Totally Feeling Sean Payton !!

From your post I have gathered that Blogs are the third in some list of forum types on this website. Node three perhaps.

RW seems to be in a little better shape this year?
I hope he can improve his game ?
I'm not going to hold my breath, I will believe it when I see it .

I don't see any world in which he isn't better than last year. We had a guy who showed he was not fit to be head coach week 1 calling plays and designing the offensive system. I don't care if he was a good OC in GB (allegedly), his boneheaded indecisiveness penetrated every level of the organization last year. You can only go up from that wasted season by adding a coach who has proven he knows how to run a team. Payton is not going to allow Russ to look lost out there. He's also not going to allow Russ to co-design the offense.

Unfortunately, I believe all of the gains in offense are going to be offset by regression on defense and we'll still be a middling team. I hope I'm wrong.

With the way things have been the last 5 years, I am just waiting to see if we can actually be a winning football team.
I think we'll be better? I thought that in years past, and things have not been working out.

I don't believe in RW until I see him have a couple of good years in Denver.

He was OC in title only.

LaFleur called all the plays and from how we looked on offense last year I'm sure Hackett also had little to no input in designing or scripting any of the offense that was called during his time in GB.

If indeed RW is in better shape (fitness/injuries), has had very little input into offensive schemes(ego) and can execute the new playbook(head) he should be better

Theoretically the O-Line is improved (Bolles back helps) RB and WR slots should be solid enough . TE still weak though. Offense should rank in the 8-12 range.

D outperformed it's talent level last year and on paper is not vastly improved. VJ may be able to coax another over achieving season
D could rank in the same 8-12 range.

we should expect a winning season but maybe not playoffs

Bottom line, the team looks like it’s finally trending in the right direction. We have a legit HC who is making an early impact. O-line is improved (on paper). RW is in better shape. I’m interested to see how they do this year. I’m not sure just how much better the team will be, but I’m confident they will be better and things are finally looking up.

He is a good coach. I think he handles the media great. He does not reveal anything that could jeopardize the teams ability to compete. He does have stories and points though to keep the media going. The key is I bet he has the same skills with the players and coaches. The ability to help them compete yet the ability to treat them like humans. Saw some great reporting on how Parcels did the same for players in practices.

This ability to balance people and have a plan allows a coach to be in control yet allow strong personalities to be successful.
