  • Kareem Jackson will not be suspended

An NFL source has told Mike Klis that Kareem Jackson will not face a suspension following his ejection against Washington.

KJ played a significant role in losing the game. The score for Washington was huge and the team rallied around Logan Thomas…could see there players rally. Denver’s defense couldn’t afford to lose another defender. His boneheaded targeting got him ejected.

Bad teams find a way to unravel.

      Good news!

KJ is a real thumper and plays with heart. He is not to blame for the loss. The unfortunate thing is that most of our safeties are injured and his unwarranted ejection made things hard for us.

Sure it was a bad hit, but he tried to hit hard as to dislodge the ball. Don't blamw him for the hit. He hits as hard as Atwater, Dawkins, etc. Difference is that those kinds of hits are illegal today. They weren't always.

Glad he'll be back and hopefully lay the lumber on opposing teams, without getting ejected this time.

Next time at least separate Logan Thomas from the ball in exchange for the ejection.

Can't disagree more. Ejection was absolutely the right thing, and a six game suspension is needed. Dirty play by a dirty player. Jumped at Thomas' head, leading with the helmet. True intent to cause harm to the wr. Not needed from our team, and not needed in the league. Football is violent by its nature, we don't need head hunters in the league. He absolutely was a big part of the loss, because we are short at safety, and his ejection meant filling in with sub par replacements. And lets not forget, this is the second week in a row for Jackson getting a personal foul penalty for an illegal hit.

Thank you for your honesty and analysis. I love the physicality that Kareem Jackson brings to our defense. But he has made 2 very poor decisions 2 straight weeks that cost his team yardage and personel. I called him out last week too. I can't fathom how the NFL fines anyone for shots to to head if they don't fine Kareem Jackson for this. The Raiders used to play like that when I was kid and I hated it. Both plays were cheap and Kareem Jackson should know that. He isn't a rookie trying to establish his physicality. He has been cleaning clocks legally for quite a few years now. Hopefully this is the last time Kareem gets called into question during a game for this kind of act.

He clearly led with his shoulder. Still a penalty in today's (soft) NFL but not dirty.

Lol typical fan would have a hard time getting up from a routine hit in the soft NFL.

Head hunting is just that. It was a dirty play.

The same fans saying the hit wasn’t an issue would be vehemently complaining if a Commanders player did the same to a Broncos receiver.

In that case, it wouldn't even get called... Just like the DPI on Sutton.

For anyone complaining about penalties the Commanders were penalized 8 times for 71 yards, Broncos 9-58 yards. Seems balanced.

Perhaps Broncos shouldn’t have blown 18 point lead at home against a rookie quarterback. Maybe Russ can avoid throwing interceptions in the 2nd half.

It’s funny and scary because it’s true.
