  • Build your very own Broncos "dream team"

I guess that I'm going a little nuts here in the offseason by dreaming this one up (what's new?) but here it goes-if you had the chance to put ANY of the Broncos offenses together with ANY of their defenses, which would you choose? I would take the 1998 offense (when we won 14 games in that season) and couple it with the 1977 "Orange Crush" defense which put a stranglehold on everybody that season. I think if we would've had that combination we'd have won several Super Bowls in A ROW! Let's hear it; have some fun with this!

You just took the choice of everyone. There is no other choices that even compare to those two.

What if you modified it to specific players... Like an all-star bronco team of all ages. so instead of "units" of different years, you pick players of specific years to collectively make a starting lineup of both sides of the ball.

Just a little thought to keep the thread alive lol.

I will go into so much more detail...I will pick players from different eras to play along side each other.

QB - John Elway - Jake Plummer
RB - Terrell Davis - Clinton Portis
FB - crap, brain fart...the guy who blocked for T.D....sorry
        TE - Shannon Sharpe
WR - Rod Smith, Ed McCaffrey, Steve Watson
O-Line would be the 98 Offensive Line - our best ever
        K - Jason Elam
        P - Todd Sauerbraun

        Defense
DLine 77 dline but with Simon Fletcher
LB - Al Wilson, Bill Romanowski, John Mobley
CB - Champ Bailey.....to big a gap to even rember
S - Steve Atwater, John Lynch

              Yup, I hate when I can't think of a player's name either.

How about Louis Wright alongside Bailey? Now THAT'S a dream combination!

Great choice. Since we have only had to better than decent CB in our entire history and please dont say Darrent Williams. May he rest in peace he was not even close to being great.

                      What about Ray Crocket?

No way. He got burned way to bad, way to much. His cover skills were horible. I just hear it over and over...."Crocket just got burned again...."

                          Oh, OK. Just brainstorming.

Griffith was the FB. I don't agree too much on the Portis beign 2nd RB. I'd rather put Tatum in. And I think you should say 2005 Jake Plummer. Wouldn't want 2006 Jake Plummer in there. It's Sauerbrun and not Sauerbraun. And Atwater and Lynch were both FS. Need a SS. Blanking on the guy who was next to Atwater during the Super Bowl wins.

What was the name of the SS who was next to Atwater? Both of them made 90's All-Decade Team I believe.
