Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Just surfed in once again to check out how the sooner greats are doing. For those of you who haven't been fortunate enough to see the quickness griffin posesses, you can download a nicely made video of some of the team's (oklahoma) highlights from last year in the video OU2K2.zip on this web page along with some great sooner videos from years before which also feature Q. http://www.the-smartass.com/sooners.htm
What a gem you broncos fans have...
I thought the Buffs kind of did of good job at containment yea
that was a good game I like the big12 hes quite the player. Ill prove it to myself and check out the vids
I think QG will be a great change of pace, and play maker for the team. He will create mismatches in coverage with his quickness.
Just hold on to the ball!!!
The biggest question with QG as is with any rookie will still be tested....can he cut it in the pro's?? If he can run like he did at OU, he will be just fine...hell I might go as far as saying.. the next Terrell Davis?!
QG got slighted in the draft because of his size but if Denver did not have Portis I think Griffin could more than handle the load. The one thing he may have to do is put on a little more weight.
OMG, Q is the best! I was shocked when I heard about his injury but I know that he is a tough little guy and that he'd be alright. I was only about an hour and a half away from Norman but never met him. I would so love to one day! I actually tried twice but failed. I even named my rabbit and chicken after him, Snowflake and Kenny Griffin. My fish is Trent Smith and my dog is Heupel but I call him Big Strong Man. Anyway, the best of luck to Quentin!!
I think that if Denver did not have Clinton Portis, that Griffin would be able to carry the load as the teams starting half back. He might need to put on litttle more weight to withstand the rigors of the NFL but I think Griffin has the potential to be big star. I don't remember where I read this, but when Portis started making an issue of his contract and did report for voluntary workouts I heard that Shanahan told him flat out if hold out someone else will gain a 1,000 yards for us. It would not suprise me in the least if was thinking a Quentin. He my be short but from the few glimpses I had of him I saw a very explosive back.
I find it hypocritical that one of the knocks on the Quentin was that he is 5' 7" yet a guy that all you Sooners are very familiar with who was one of best to every play the game was exactly the same height, I believe the guys name is Barry Sanders, granted he weighs a little more but see some similarities between the two. I hope you Sooner fans are not offended that I compared an OSU alumn with an OU alumn.
Yah most Sooner fans probably wouldn't like that but thats just all about rivalry..Bedlam...But for the Sooner fans that would take offense to that, he did compare him to Barry Sanders!!!!! The best college running back ever in my opinion!!!!!!
