I could have sworn they said Peterson got that record a year ago but his performance was only good enough for third.

      Most Yards Gained, Game
404 Glyn Milburn, Denver vs. Seattle, Dec. 10, 1995
373 Billy Cannon, Houston vs. N.Y. Titans, Dec. 10, 1961
361 Adrian Peterson, Minnesota vs. Chicago, Oct. 14, 2007

That's weird the top two were on the same date

Besides his 131 on the ground, he caught 5 passes for 45 yards in this losing effort. Final: 31-27 Seahawks.

I tried to verify your post without luck yet.

        That Day In Denver

        1995 Denver Broncos

        Glyn Milburn

OK found it on his Wiki page. 404 total yards that day:

Set NFL record with 404 total yards vs Sea (12/10) as he rushed career-high 18 times for career-best 131 yards (7.3 avg.), his only 100-yard rushing performance as a pro...Also caught five passes for 45 yards, returned five punts for season-high 95 yards and brought back five kicks for 133 yards (26.6 avg)

        Glyn's Wiki

That had me intrigued and had to look into it. Thanks for bringing this up in the facts thread WD.

            Today's Question:

The first 100-yard rushing day in Broncos' history was the only 100-yard day of this fullback's six-year career in the AFL. Who was he?

Ahhhh another old one, Billy Joe would be my guess since he got AFL Rookie of the Year in like 62 or 63. Can't remember which, read it on a history page awhile back.

Wow that goes to say something about the NFL that year if you can play a season AT Fullback WITHOUT a 100 yard game and still get RoY.

I'm afraid that is not the man we are looking for today my friend.

I have googled him now and he has conflicting titles.

                      Pro-Football Reference calls him a HB-FB

Football Data Base calls him a FB-OHB

His Wiki page calls him a RB.

The year was 1963 and perhaps they didn't know what to call him?

My trivia sheet here calls Donnie Stone a FB and yes... that is the guy we're looking for today.

He had 104 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown as we routed San Diego 50-34 on October 6th, 1963.
