Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

At the time, this third-round pick in 1975 was the highest-drafted Broncos' quarterback since the inception of the common draft in 1967. He played only two season in Denver, making one start. Who was he?
The correct answer from December 30th was Mike Franckowiak.
Not sure where I got the W from.

Today's Fun Fact:
When Denver beat Oakland in week 2 of 2007, it was the 133rd victory for Mike Shanahan as the Broncos' coach. That marked the 10th most in NFL history by a coach with a particular team.

Good bye Mike. The smart fans miss you already. The rest will in a couple of years. :salute!:
The Rams, Detroit, then the Broncos.....you have to feel for this guy after that super bowl season.
EDIT: As a side note that calender is kind of blowing his rookie season out of proportion, he only started two games in the regular season and none in the playoffs. Had three interceptions in the regular season (all in games decided by more than a touchdown so they weren't deciding factors) and one in the NFC Championship Game. So I'd say it's highly unlikely he helped them win the Super Bowl.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. Winning a championship is a team effort, so anytime he stepped on the field, even on special teams, he was either helping or hindering the team. Seeing as he got a Ring, I doubt he hindered that year. Just my :2cents:

Everyone on the team at the time of the Super Bowl gets one. He didn't hinder or help, he simple barely ever played and started 9% of their seasons games.

Today's Fun Fact:
Each of the Broncos' first three wins in 2007 came on Jason Elam field goals on the final play: two as time ran out (Buffalo in week 1 and Pittsburgh in week 7), and one in overtime (Oakland in week 2).
