Why did it, along with some other important threads get unstickied?

                • Ill go ahead and vote this get restickied. Probably gets more traffic every day than about half of the threads on here.

Understood. Also bear in mind it pained us to unsticky it.

The blame probably lies with all of us. With some for asking for everything on God's green Earth to be stickied, and to some of us for saying yes.

The result was that we had over 50 threads total (no joke) stickied on the forums, ten of which were in GD alone.

That's way too many. If everything is important, then nothing's really important.

So, we cleaned up a bit. The important, official threads, more or less, are all that are stickied now. Hopefully that's the way it stays at least for a while.

As with anything else, when people go overboard it has to be reigned in.

We all want things stickied. The mods want to be nice and so we say yes more often than we should. The result is a traffic jam of stickies. We had to clear the streets.

I do love this thread, but I have no doubts that it will continue to be a pillar of the community whether it's a sticky or not.

                      • I've never gotten into trouble on the boards and I don't want to start.

I don't know how much displeasure I can voice, so I'm going to bite my tongue and simply say that I strongly disagree with this decision.

                          Whatever.

I think I understand what you are trying to say. Apparently my loyalty and dedication for so long mean nothing. If I sound bitter, I am. That was a slap in the face.

Next thing I know, I'll be on the trading block.

Nonono... You're our guy. We were only looking for a backup in case you got hurt. I swear.

PS: I completely understand why you'd be pissed and offended. I'd feel the same way. Hang in there and see where we're at in a few weeks.

I don't think that helps. If anything, it backs the mods into a corner because now you're trying to tell them what to do.

I don't know if handling it with acceptance and understanding will get this thread stickied again or not, but I do know that turning it into a pissing contest won't.
