With 44 TD passes against The Seahawks, this is one of the few times Elway might not have scored one......

          • Today’s trivia...........

            Random fact of the day

The first touchdown pass ever thrown by John Elway in the National Football League was thrown to running back Rick Parros. This would be the only touchdown that the two would hook up for.

            Today’s trivia

From a selection perspective, how was former New England Tight End Aaron Hernandez connected with The Denver Broncos?

            • Broncos trade pick 11 to San Fran for pick 13 and 113.
Broncos trade pick 13 to Philly for 24, 70, and 87.
Broncos acquire pick 22 (DThomas) from Patriots for picks 24 and 113.

Pick 113 was SF, then moved to Den, then moved to Patriots who eventually picked Aaron Hernandez.

                WINNER!!!!

The 2010 NFL Draft saw the Denver Broncos trade their first and their fourth round picks to the Patriots to move up two spots and select wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. The Patriots would eventually trade that first round pick to the Cowboys who would use it to select Dez Bryant. The fourth round pick they kept for themselves and used it to pick tight end Aaron Hernandez.

                • Another question.....

What was so unique about Rod Smith's yardage totals (other than he had a lot of them...11,389)?

Thank god we traded to get DT instead of taking Hernandez later.

Hey.....isn't it weird that we could have DT and Dez at the same time??!! I know, not gonna happen!

WINNER (although with a wee bit of exception)

I am going to give it to you, though it is no longer totally correct. As it turns out Antonio Gates, also undrafted, has passed him, with 11,508 yards. But you got the Undrafted part right, which was core to this question. Here's the answer I have:

Broncos’ wide receiver Rod Smith was the first undrafted player to ever gain more than 10,000 yards receiving.
