Today’s trivia...........
Random fact of the day
The Denver rushing game produced more 100-yard rushers in the 1990s as the franchise had in the previous three decades combined. In fact, one rusher -- Terrell Davis -- exploded onto the scene and logged over three times as many 100-yard games as the entire franchise did in the 1960s. He had almost 50% more 100-yard games than the entire franchise in the 1970s. Davis more than doubled the number of 100-yard rushers than the entire franchise produced in the 1980s.
Random quote of the day

December 4, 1977 - With a 24-14 win at Houston, the Broncos clinch a playoff berth, the first in the club’s history. Later in the day, the Broncos clinch the AFC Western Division championship when the Raiders fall to the Los Angeles Rams.
December 11, 1983 - Elway throws three fourth-quarter touchdown passes to erase a 19-0 deficit and lead the Broncos to a 21-19 playoff-clinching win over Baltimore.
December 15, 1984 - In a winner-take-all showdown at the Kingdome for the AFC West crown, Denver wins its 13th game of the season, the most in Broncos history, and captures the AFC West crown with a 31-14 win over Seattle.
December 26, 1996 - Terrell Davis is named NFL Offensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press and joins three other Broncos as first-team All-Pro performers — Shannon Sharpe, Alfred Williams and Gary Zimmerman.

WINNER!
The Broncos have only lead the NFL in Total Defense once in their history, in 2015. During that memorable season, The D only allowed 283.1 yards per game. Included on that total was a league leading 199.6 yards per game against the pass, and #3 against the run, with only 83.6 yards per game.
Of course that was also the season that The Broncos won their 3rd Super Bowl, which was highly related to their incredible Defense, lead by Von Miller!
