it was the fullback Joe Dawkins who had 106 yards rushing by halftime in a 1973 game against the New York Jets in Shea Stadium.

Joe Dawkins played seven NFL seasons with three teams during the 70s. His best season was 1973 when he had 706 yards rushing and another 329 yards receiving for the Broncos.

He was traded prior to the following season to the New York Giants for a future draft pick.
I actually suspected a fullback but had no idea who it could’ve been. Good one :thumb:

Thanks ... and another doozy... a bit subjective but a good head scratcher..

It was unquestionably the greatest Broncos draft that never was. It featured arguably the greatest fourth round in NFL history. What year was the draft and, in order, name the players the Broncos selected in that fourth round?

That's correct. I wonder if Turner is as tough a father-in-law as he was a coach?

            • I LOVE the fact this thread is still going!

There are only two players ever to have 4 rushing TD's in 4 different Super Bowls.

              Who are they?

                  • Von Miller just became only the third Denver Bronco to win AFC Player of the Month (either offense or defense POTM) 4 times. Name the other two Broncos. You have to get both correct and I won't say if one was right or not. No googling.
