      Denver 11-5
      KC 10-6
      Oakland 8-8
      SD 6-10
But i wouldn't be surprised if oakland finishes 2nd this year, considering that they improved better this offseason than kc and sd have done.

              Too early to make predictions..

Oakland will be better, not too much though, think they will finish above .500 but not sure if they will make the playoffs..9-7?

KC should be pretty much the same, good O but crap D.
If Green goes down who is gona throw the ball?

SD can be good cos of LT, who do they have catching balls though? apart from LT

Denver will rule, but Im a Broncos fan so of course I'll say that.

I wouldn't say that, Gunther is gonna do something for them...

That's prolly most realistic but I still dunno... We have some holes that we have to fix. If Garrison, Tatum, or Q turn out well it will be 11-5. If Weaver, Santiago, or any other TE we signed is effective then 12-4. But without the running game we are lost, so we gotta get that going first.

Denver again earns a wild card berth and again meets the Colts in the wild card game. Colts will beat Denver, then go on and beat the Chiefs in the divisional playoff. Again the Colts and Pats play the AFC Championship game. The AFC Playoffs will be a repeat of last seasons playoffs.

Denver will be a team which plays well at home, but struggles on the road. Dever only will win three road games next season. San Diego, New Orleans and Jacksonville will be the only road wins.

                      I wish!

I'd give anything to see a repeat of last season's AFC Championship with the new defensive rules in place.

Yes I am sure it will be a repeat of last year, because that is so common in the NFL..... thanks for the update of what happened last year. I must have been sleeping and needed the update.

Broncos: Have some questions at WR, DL, and OL. WR is aging and Lelie hasn't stepped it up yet, if he does this position should be fine. DL has first time starter in Reggie Hayward, we usually play rotating scheme to keep guys healthy, we will need it because we have a lot of older, fragile, vets. OL has questions becasue of Foster being a first time starter and Lepsis moving to LT, Foster should do fine but I worry about Lepsis. Overall a good team with good coaching and a favorable schedule.

                          Offense: 86
                          Defense: 92

                          Overall rating: 89

                          2004 record: 11-5

Chiefs: They kept their whole entire starting lineup from last season except for Tait. This subtraction will hurt them more than they think. The defense is still horibble even with the new coach. Offensivley they are unstoppable except for their receivers. Personally I think Trent Green will not do as good as he did last season. A great offensive team but awful defensive team that will ultimately bring them down.

                          Offense: 96
                          Defense: 78

                          Overall:87

                          2004 record: 9-7

Raiders: Added a lot of new guys that will help immediately. With all the old guys really getting up there in age, this will be a one year attempt to turn the Raiders around. Mt. Washington will help them greatly but they will have no DL pressure on the outside. Woodson's health is also a concern. This team could go anywhere from 4-12 to 10-6 but ultimately too many new faces, injuries, and age will bring them down.

                          Offense: 76
                          Defense: 82

                          Overall: 79

                          2004 record: 6-10

Chargers: LT, I feel really sorry for you. The Chargers did virtually nothing to help you out over the offseason. Adding a rookie QB, and getting rid of your best WR and your 2 starting DE's. It should be another long season in SD.

                          Offense: 76
                          Defense: 68

                          Overall: 72

                          2004 record: 4-12

You must not be following the new rule changes for this upcoming season.

New rule was put in place based off of the Pat's flagrant defensive holding of the Colts receivers in last years AFC conference game.

Yes it would have changed the outcome of that game a LOT.

It depends on a lot of things, but I think there are two major factors.

One, we will need somebody to step up in the HB slot with Portis gone. Q and Bell both have the ability, I believe, but will they do it? Yes, we have a good line and should be able to get decent yards with anybody, but what makes us great is having that line with a great back running behind it. If we don't have a good HB, Jake will have to do a lot more passing (and the line will have to give him support).

Two, we must get better at shutting down the passing game. We are in a transition phase right now, with the signing of Champ and everything. However, if our LBs and D-Line can keep up their good work against the run, and the CBs and safeties do their job on the pass (a few blitzes are also nice ) we should do well on defense.

If we can do both of these things, I think we could do as well as 12-4. If we don't, we will probably be struggling for a wild card spot again, and I would predict 9-7, or 10-6 at best. I'll take a middle spot here and predict 11-5.

KC has a good O-Line, but again they don't have defense. I believe Gunther will bring quite a bit to the defensive side, so I doubt the defense will be as bad as it was this past year, but it will take a lot of work that I doubt will be complete by the time the season starts. If Gunther gets it done, Chiefs could go 11-5 or 12-4. If not, they could still do well in the season and choke in the postseason like they did this year, or they might not even make it. I hope for 0-16 (yeah right), but I will be happy if they go 10-6, and elated if they go 9-7 or worse. I think I'll go with 10-6.

Oakland is a toss-up. They have made quite a few personnel changes, which have the potential of making a major difference in their performance. I think it will take more time to work out everything, so I doubt they will do extremely well this year (though better than last year), but watch out for them in the 2005 season. Again, I hope for 0-16 (I can't stand the Raiders), but I predict 7-9.

San Diego is also a toss-up. LT is just fantastic, and if he can have a good year, the Chargers might just have a winning season. It would be nice if Flutie could play more, but that ain't happening. We'll see how things go. I'll give them 8-8.

                              So to wrap it up:

                              Denver 11-5
                              Kansas City 10-6
                              San Diego 8-8
                              Oakland 7-9

That is just IMHO. I am hardly an expert, so that might be uneducated.
Thanks for the memories, John. We will always remember you.

You look great in Canton! Perhaps I'll get to see you some day...
