Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I know there are a few youngins on this board and this is for us. How many of you guys play football like for your high school team or middle school or pee-wee? How long have you been Playing? What position do you play? I have been playing for 6 years and I am play Strong Safety/DB for my High School the Fairview Knights.
You older guys can post and teel us if you used to play and what position.
I played back in the day. Pee wee and then the first two years of high school. Played safety...then it was decided that i should concentrate my efforts on baseball
"The Gagne T-shirt jersey comes with a complimentary can of gasoline and a set of matches."
Played pee-wee through high school - mostly a wideout and free safety, but also had a year as a slot back which was a lot of fun. My senior year in HS a new coach came in and platooned the system - I chose defense and played cornerback. Also, played intramural in college - everything from DE to FS to WR.
Little League (called "Little American Football") I was a brusing 42 pound halfback.
Jr. high.....QB and DB
HS....QB, DB, senior year shifted to WR
College....I was a top notch student ( yeah, right).
AC (after college) played some town team flag but it got real nasty at times...
NOW....the best darned Bronco armchair QB in the country!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!
defensive end in high school. won team MVP my senior year. that was way back in '92. i always thought DE was a great position in high school because of how often you played against the option. DE only responsibility against the option is hitting the QB every play.
I play for the Honkers in Yuba City, California. I'm a kicking specialist (I don't play any other positions). I played since Jr. Midgets for the Jr. Honkers. They might move me up to varsity, I've got a pretty mean leg. I love watching Elam!
I played High School Football. I played Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver, Corner Back, Free Safety, Strong Safety, Kick Returner, and Punt Returner. I guess I almost did everything. Back then I was the Slash of High School Football. We didn't run the option or anything like that.
I loved playing Running Back the most because I just love breakin' a Player's ankles every time I would put a move on 'em or if I couldn't I would just have to run them over. I always had a tactic in my running style that always prevented me from taking a hard blow. And no it wasn't going down and ducking, LOL!
Playing Defensive Back was real fun too, specially playing Corner Back. 'Cause I took pride on shutting down a Wide Receiver. Also popping anybody with the ball with a shoulder tackle or just a good wrap up and slam to the turf.
I swear if I was taller I would be playing Quarterback in the NFL right now. Yes, I really believe that. I miss playing so much, I think we all do though.
i got one for you guys i played 6-man f-ball in high school now that was fun we were 2 time state champs....it was great everybody is eligble for a pass (even the center) n there cant be no direct hand offs all pitches on running plays... oblivously speed is the key to this kind of f-ball..
all the way up from 1st grade through 3 yrs in college.... played QB all the way up... until my sophmore year in HS...then played QB/CB.... then My senior year... strictly CB and remained there through the three years of college ball.
I play right now for a community team (highscool season is long over) I play DE, Offensive guard and Im on both kickoff and kickoff return teams. we head to berlin this saturday for round 1 of the playoffs.
If you take what I have to say seriously, then I'm embarrassed for you.
Started in 5th grade in Colorado Springs for the Portal Park Pirates (represent) and played Monster Back lol (greatest position ever, no responsibility but to kill the ball carrier). Then had to miss 6th grade cuz we moved to South Dakota where I then played HB and Mike backer again and was an absolute monster cuz in the league I played if you weighed 125 or more you couldn't play anywhere but line so when I weighed in I was 124 lol so I was Jerome Bettis pretty much. Then in high school played Quarter Back cuz I was a really good baseball player and could launch the ball. I got the option to keep playing that or try out to make it at another position so I took that and tried out as a outside backer and tight end. Made it in both but got moved to DE cuz I was big and our DE's got hurt. Next year I'll be going to a D1 school and am being brought in as a W-back (aka tight end that motions around alot and plays like fullback, reciever, hback, that guy) but will probably end up playing will backer.
