  • sharpe in the ring of fame?

I think they should waive the five year rule and put sharpe in the ring of fame this year. He is, in some people's book, the best TE to ever play, and has the records to prove it.

He should be....He is definetly headed for canton ohio, so I see no reason for the broncos to leave him out of their ring of fame.

I wonder if the ravens will honor him in some way also....He did help them win a Super Bowl also.

I dunno...AM950 was just talking about this today about how Ray Borque had a jersey retired as an Av, but played 20 years for the Bruins...

Answer: NO ravens should not honor him, Sharpe only played their for 2 years, he did win the superbowl with the Ravens, but 10 years with Broncos before the Raven era, and 2 years after that...

i think the broncos should wait at least a couple of years just to make sure his retirement is for real. what if his new job doesn't go well this year and he decides to make a comeback. you don't want him in the ring while he is still playing.

He is done with playing and he will be inducted into the RoF next year...my guess is it will be the SD game that he wil be inducted...

the question is not will he be in the ring, it's when will they put him in the ring.

of course he will make the ring. he's the best TE ever. i just think the team should wait at least a couple of years. his retirement was very sudden. what if he suddenly unretires sometime in the next couple of years. he still has the ability to play.

IF he comes back for whatever reason do you then have to take his name of the ring until he retires again.

i don't think waiting a couple of years will offend mr. sharpe.

He's not coming back to play.....we were hoping to get one more year out of him, but it didn't work out. I would love it if he did, but the chances of that happening are slim to none.

all it would take is an injury or two and a phone call from the coach. if the broncos look to be making a superbowl run and need help at TE he would be back.

because it's the offseason and there isn't much else to argue about.

                              Exactly!!!!!!

Its called a topic of discussion slick - but once again you add nothing or relevance to the thread - and I have already given my opinion on the subject - so I will spare you all
