I like the hire, he brings Winning Experience, plus hes a solid D coach, with some succes on that side of the ball. Not to metion to a already loaded staff with Sucees on D as well!!

Quality control is underrated, IMO. Love the signing, brings continuity, and now we have 2 folks from Jacksonville who brought the best out of players, they turned a less talented defense into a top 10 defense, so I think they can do the same here.

    Denver Broncos add Defensive Coach

It has been reported by Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post, that today the Denver Broncos added Cory Undlin as an Assistant to Defensive Coordinator Jack Del Rio.

Undlin has been with Del Rio for the past 3 years. He will take over as the Defensive Quality Control coach, the position previously occupied by new Defensive Line coach Jay Rodgers.

Undlin, 40, has been a coach in the NFL since 2004, when he was a Defensive Coaching Assistant under Bill Belichick for the New England Patriots for one season. After they won Super Bowl XXXIX that year, Defensive Coordinator Romeo Crennel was hired by the Cleveland Browns. Cory followed Romeo and became their Defensive Quality Control coach for the 2005-06 seasons before working as their Assistant Special Teams coach in 2007. When Crennel was fired as the Browns head coach in 2009, Undlin hired on as a Defensive Assistant for the Jacksonville Jaguars and has been their Defensive Backs coach for the past two seasons.

A graduate of California Lutheran University where he played Safety from 1990-94, Cory began his coaching career at his alma mater in 1998. He coached the Linebackers for two seasons (1998-99) and was the Defensive Coordinator for two more (2000-01) before a two-year stint at Fresno State as a Graduate Assistant under head coach Pat Hill, who was an assistant for Bill Belichick in Cleveland.
