Does NFL rumor mean - what some random writer thinks might be a good idea?

Or does it mean NFL rumor
The beatings will continue until morale improves....

So why shouldn't it be mentioned to me?

I love the kid, but I don't think he's any good at the pro level and don't want him anywhere near this team...

I guess you were just trying to be a smartass...lol

Osweiler (as long as he continues to show well) should backup Manning

              I'd trade Hanie for him.

No team is desperate enough to want Hanie.

I'd take Colt as a backup only if I really wasn't certain about Mannings health... I think it will do Os some good to sit and learn for at least this year. And Colt could keep us competitive so the team doesn't take a major hit.

I'd rather just let Os play if Manning goes down or sign Volek.

So you're saying if our Colt goes down, you'd want another Colt to replace him?

Really not saying much with that statement. I personally would like to see OZ and Weber stay and send Hanie packing. When it comes to Colt, IF he could come over and compete for a job I would love him too but I wouldn't want to trade away a pick to see him here, no matter which one it is. Now if they want to trade Hanie straight up for him I would jump on it cause I'd much rather have Colt then Hanie but short of that, I'm pretty happy with the ones on the roster right now and I'd rather keep the picks for positions we may need to address. If something happens to Manning then let OZ come in and get experience. Just my opinion though. I do feel really bad for Colt though, God the Browns FO has no clew imo and the QB's deserve better. At least TT was replaced with Peyton Manning. They through Colt away for a 28 yr old rookie and were pretty classless about it imo. I hope the new owner cleans house.

Colt McCoy shouldn't be going anywhere.

WEEDen sucks and is a Derek Anderson clone. McCoy has outperformed him and WEEDen is the starter due to his first round draft status - nothing more.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

The difference between him and McCoy is not worth giving up anything.
IMO there is a possibility that a young QB can be ruined if he's thrusted into the starting lineup before he's ready.
Remember Brian Griese, I believe he would have been alot better QB in this league had he been given the time to grow and learn gradually. Im saying he would have been great by no means but he would have been alot better.
Sure Peyton Manning, John Elway, Dan Marino were thrusted into the spotlight/thrown to the wolves but those guys were /are special.
I just think you take it easy with a young QB as an insurance precaution.
