interesting....I wonder is it because of the lack of faith in the depth or the lack of faith in manny

Played centre last year and has the peyton factor(colts 2004-2009)winning one superbowl and making another.Love it.Depth plus possibly much more. For a guy coming out of retirement, he is only 31.

If his nagging injuries aren't any better, I don't see what the point is. Will have to wait and see on that front.

He's not that old, if be an stay healthy if could be a great addition much like Koppen was last year.

Not the best fit, but his familiarity with Mannings calls could be very beneficial....especially early in the season. And who knows maybe Manny steps up and shows he can handle it by then. Im sure familiarity is something that's being strongly considered here.

not sure why you say it isn't the best fit. At worst, he is easily better than any of the depth guys we have like Blake, Davis, Saulsberry, etc...

Its not a great fit mainly because he has/had nagging injuries requiring surgery even as recent as last year. He has mentioned his body has hit the wall and was considering retirement before last years games even began. Also he never played center with Manning and only did so for the Chiefs out of necessity. He "retired" in December of last year and mental preperation is a real factor to consider. While the depth would be nice and always is, I don't think his experience or injury concerns are any more beneficial than waiting on word from Kuper (possibly) or signing another guy who is healthy and been mentally preparing to go. (perhaps maybe even a TC casualty from another team)

Interesting, nothing to lose at this point. Maybe he will still have some gas in the tank to get us through the season

If he is healthy he is no worse than Koppen. Wouldn't be a bad move whether he is just depth or a starter.
