I did not see the hit on Wolfe, people are saying it looked dirty. Also from just watching some of the game, I think the refs were horrible. There was a horse collar on DT that was never called. I mean come on, the guy grabbed the back of his jersey (by the neck) and threw him down. Isn't that a penalty?

The refs were bad but it was more then that.

Seatle came out hungry and ready to play. You can tell this game meant something to them. They wanted to prove something to someone.

We came out and played like it was preseason. Can not really fault anyone for it I guess...just shows Carroll is better then Fox at motivating players.

Thing is tho when one team plays more determined then the other team then the less determined team is imo more likely to get hurt.

Also the NFL network coverage sucked big time. I dunno what these morons at NFL are thinking but this split coverage stuff is only good when people doing fantasy team stuff and they go away to look at red zone stuff. Going away from one game to look at a meaningless play off a garbage time 4th qtr play in the 2nd preseason game is lame....oh wait it is the jets now I get it.

Sorry bout the NFL Network rant...I missed whathappened to Wolfe because of these bozos.
Time to build on the win and grow the team from some solid play higher level of play

Pre-season games are meaningless. All that matters is escaping injury and we seem to have got lucky here.

Our win at SF was meaningless. Our defeat against Seattle was meaningless.

When week one gets here no team will remember pre-season.

exactly, it has nothing to do with motivation, or hunger, or anything. We just played poorly in a preseason game a few turnovers really made a difference in a game nobody seemed to care about. we moved the ball well and our younger guys made some mistakes ... big whoop

now is the time to get these hiccups out, drill ball control into their heads, these are the types of things you cant really practice, i love them making mistakes now and giving them another 2-3 weeks to fix it before a game that ACTUALLY matters

Seems like every pre-season in the NFL more and more superstars are going down. Not sure who's to blame for this or if its just football and inevitable but watching the game against Seattle it sure seems like they took it a lot more seriously than we did. Especially the hit on Wolfe .. a chop block is one thing, but hitting a guy while he's trying to get up from a chop block?? Really?

What? It was a pre-season game. No one was determined. If Carroll's means to motivate his guys, or give them momentum is to play all out against another team who's thinking in preseason mode, then he definitely NOT a better leader than Fox. The Broncos (and Fox) don't need phony victory in a meaningless game to be ready for the stuff that counts. The pregame probably went:

Carroll: "This is it! This is a real test! Let's get out there and show them what we're made of!" Cheers follow.

Fox: "Okay guys. Let's go through some basics, get used to the contact, and be smart out there. No turnovers or injuries, and we will work on some trouble spots in practice."

Fox sounds much smarter in that situation because PRESEASON DOESN'T MATTER.

My point was one team played harder then the other imo and imo when this happens the team not playing as hard is more likely to get hurt players.

Yea stats of any kind, wins included, are meaningless in the preseason.

                    Injuries on the other hand...

oh and my gf and I have met carroll in person while he was at usc...if you do not think he is the kind of coach to fire up his players for a preseason game then check what u know because it needs adjustment
