I think he is depth as well, but he has started every game for the last 3 years in Arizona. So who knows what the team is planning to do with him for sure. They might want to keep woody outside and Danny as the first back up LB.

Keep in mind Lennon had 103 tackles last year. He could be a starter here and move Irving to Von's spot. Danny of the bench.

the guy has played in 16 games 10 seasons and 15 in his other. he had 103 tackles last year. it might be depth but I think he might start so they can keep Woody on the outside and Irving as the 3rd linebacker and keep Danny the first LB of the bench.

they also probably signed hm because of the Bradley injury and possible suspension of Von.

I wouldn't say that, he's a solid tackler who doesn't miss games. At worst, he's a solid stop-gap. At best, he has another 100 tackle season (like he has four of the past six seasons).
