I have my doubts he will stick to the squad. I think this is purely to get a look at him and get him familiar with things in case we have any future issues with injury at LB. If Bradleys recovery is the time it's said to be, I can't see us sticking him on IR, or cutting him in favor of a Paris Lenon. I think this is about reps, and about having options that could potentially be there a few weeks into the season

ILB is constantly taking on the middle of the o-line from all angles and RBs bigger then him right in his face every play. I do not question his talent and heart, just the possibilities of being injured.
In a 3-4, yes they are constantly taking bigger players but in the 4-3 with Knighton and Vickerson in front of him, I'll be surprised if o-linemen can get up to Woody.

He played in the Middle his rookie year with Shanahan's 4-3 with all those linebackers getting hurt... The year Spencer Larsen played both ways that one game then he went down and Woodyard came in and I felt like he was the best one.

Right. A 4-3 alignment covers the Guards; 3-4/50 does not unless it is Eagled and/or Aggied.

When Lenon played for the Lions I used to think he was a mediocrity. But then I actually watched him and he was good. I think he's a good addition to the team in Bradley's absence.

I think you are reading that wrong... He's played a full 16 games, 10 times in his career. Not 16 games in 10 years. According to Pro football reference he's player 175 games.

Of which he has started 122.

The man is old, but not broken. Nice leadership and experience.
