  • Several Broncos Change Numbers

Because I know a lot of us care about these sorts of things...

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- With the roster pared down to the NFL-mandated 53-player limit, several jersey numbers opened up.

A trio of first-year Broncos decided to change numbers:
Center Steve Vallos went from 51 to 60
Linebacker Paris Lenon changed from 43 to 51
Defensive end Quanterus Smith switched from 69 to 93.

I like Smith's move to 93. Looks better than 69 IMO. And I'm still hoping Montee Ball changes to 22 after Hester got cut.

    EDIT - Updated # changes:

Montee Ball gets 28, Q. Carter takes 38, CJ Anderson gets 22.

Maybe Quinton Carter can take 22, giving Montee Ball his 28.

I read somewhere it's of HIS choosing but I really dislike how 45 looks on DRC. Hell i'm not really a fan of 40's on any db....

Thank God Quanterus changed to 93. Now hopefully he can get back into form.

I think 47 was a pretty good number for Lynch.

47 looked good on Lynch to be sure, I just like 20's and 30's on DB's better

And ditto on the Quanterus change, but I was pretty sure he was just waiting for something in the 90's to open up. Really glad Malik Jackson grabbed 97, think we'll be seein' plenty of it this year

Aaron Hester was the one who got cut. Jacob Hester is still here.

I actually like all 3 of these number changes now. 43 on a LB is just ugly, and I hate OL that wear #s in the 50s as well. So all in all a good day for me. Now time to go edit players in my Madden franchise

I know Ball chose 38, but he chose 38 when there weren't a lot of other options out there for him. I would personally rather see him with a # in the 20s or maybe even 34 (I always like that one on a RB for some reason). But if he ends up with 38 I will not be upset or anything.

I didn't hear about that yet. Dang, he was great in the red zone.

Come on Montee, make us happy! #38 is not intimidating!

                            Mike Anderson was a beast.

                            Stop with the blasphemy.

Last time we had a #38 in are back field, the broncos finished the regular season at 13-3 playing almost the exact same schedule in 2005 as we are this year.

45 on DRC is weak I thought for sure he'd switch
