    KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A homicide occurred on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium where the Kansas City Chiefs and Broncos played each other.

Kansas City police Chief Darryl Forte tweeted about the homicide after the Broncos had beaten the Chiefs.

Forte said two suspects are in custody.

This occurred exactly one year after Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher killed the mother of his infant daughter and then drove to Arrowhead where he killed himself in front of horrified team leaders.

KCTV5 is gathering more information. Refresh this page for updates.

    KCTV5 report -

Police sources tell KCTV5 that a man and his son had gone to their vehicle during the game. When they arrived, they found another man rifling through the vehicle and a fight broke out. The man who apparently did not belong in the vehicle died.

Police officials did not say whether the two in custody were the father and his son or not.

Don't be ridiculous. Death is not an appropriate punishment for theft. And right now we don't know the details of what happened, so it's pointless to speculate on what happened.

Pretty soulless comment. He didn't kill anybody, he should've been punished sure...but death? How does stealing result in deserving to die?

I guess I'm a hard man then, but as far as I'm concerned, if the story is true, he brought it upon himself and justice was served. Thieves will get no pity from me.

And I wasn't there, but I presume if the thief ended up dead that car's owner felt his life, and perhaps that of his son, was in danger. Here your vehicle is an extension of your home and you are allowed to defend it with deadly force if necessary. Not sure about KC.

We don't know the whole story yet so I'll reserve judgement.

Theives are sometimes armed and are prepared to use deadly force to get away with their crimes, but like the other guy said, ill have to wait for more info on what happened.

If the man felt like his sons life was threatened by the thief, then I'd say yes, the thief got what he deserved!

'The owner of the car returned with his son and found the man who "did not belong" inside the vehicle, Snapp said. The two men scuffled, the man collapsed and the son ran for help, he said. When the paramedics arrived, the man was unconscious on the ground. The paramedics administered first aid and the man was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead, Snapp said.

If you have kids, it might make it easier to put yourself in that situation. I understand we don't know all of the facts, but when you're kids are with you it makes you handle risky situations differently.

Once, when my oldest was about a year and a half old I was getting him out of the car one early evening. As I got him out of the car I turned around to see a pit bull facing us in our own yard. I can tell you the emotion I fealt at that time was "if that dog moves this way I will kill it with my bare hands". Fortunately, the dog just walked off. However, later that evening I stepped out on the porch to see if the dog was still around, leaving my son inside. That moment I felt more "fear", than "kill the threat".

No, you're right, we don't. But I presumed, based on what was reported, that it went something like this; the car owner caught someone burglarizing his vehicle, he confronted the guy, the thief threatened/attacked the owner/son, owner defended himself, and the thief ended up dead. That's just kind of how I had envisioned it, but again I don't know those are the facts. That's why I said presume.
