Thats how I understood it as well, but I don't live in Denver so I have no idea what they call things there.

It's never a Denver offseason without somebody getting arrested or in trouble with the law.

Back in the 80s and 90s I rarely went into a night club without at least seeing a fight. If you took your girl with you that was a guaranteed fight. But people didn't file charges or try to kill one another back then either. You fought, you won/lost and you got bounced out, end of story.

You do realize the murder rate was higher in the 80s and 90s, right?

Battery is IIRC when someone touches another. No matter the severity of touch to a beat down.

            Assault is verbal.

The warrant was issued because he didn't respond to a summons. When will the Broncos figure out how to fix stupid?

It was a minor incident. Why couldn't he just do the smart thing and turn himself in?

                I agree

Even Ray Lewis had to learn to live life off the field without getting charge for something to do with murder.

I really do not mind these guys doing these things...shoot I live on the edge myself...but if you making seven figures then hire a big dude or two to keep the trouble off you.

Really wish they would talk to Dennis Rodman's agent...the guy was a wackjob but he had the best measures I ever herd when it came to keeping Dennis out of jail. Of course we all know how the Pacman thing went down in Dallas...the player needs to listen to the guy(s) keeping them out of trouble.

There is a designated driver...what should we call the profession for the guys who keep pro athletes out of trouble? Designated Thinkers?

Yea I spent a weekend in jail when I was 22 for a bench warrent..forgot to pay a fine...guess I needed a Designated Thinker too when I was that age

funny thing was I got pulled over with a girl who had a warrent for GTA...she did not spend a single second in jail....imo some police forces need a Designated Thinker as well.

A source tells 9NEWS police believe Ward had an altercation with a member of the wait staff at PT's All Nude Centerfold Show Club on South Galena Street. Police have been investigating this for more than a week.

9Wants to Know has learned that Ward, when confronted about bringing his own alcohol to the club, allegedly threw an object at a female bartender.

Come on Ward... Man I hope this gets resolved soon but if he is throwing things at females, then he gets what he deserves.

I don't see this being a big deal. I bet he just gets a fine from the league and thats it.

I don't see how this could be anywhere near as bad as Ray rice knocking out his girlfriend a month before they got married. He apparently won't have anything major happen to him either.

                        Stupid move TJ, but whatever.

From what I've been reading , sounds like it will be a fine for him. But as far as suspension highly unlikely.

                            http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireSto...eanor-23847113

Broncos safety T.J. Ward has appeared in court on misdemeanor charges that allege he threw a glass mug at a bartender at a Denver strip club.

Doesn't seem to bad. Would have been worse if the glass mug hit someone in the head.

these players need a Designated Thinker

been in similiar spots...which I made 7 figures and could have afforded one when I was 22

I'm guessing that they don't think he was really trying to hit the woman. It's not a small matter to hit someone in the head with a weapon or try to anyway.
