  • OTA's: Denver Focuses on Ball Control

Interesting piece on using some peculiar methods to cut down on the fumbles. It's insane to think how many points this team could have scored without the fumbles, and the close losses that could have been wins.

    Anyway, read on:

Glad to hear that is an emphasis, hopefully it will help the offense hold on to the ball and the defense to strip the ball. Win Win

Yeah. There were times when the defense needed to do more than just hold to field goals, but never generated any turnovers or momentum (the Super Bowl comes to mind - where people haphazardly give the D WAY too much credit for doing nothing).

They do indeed, seems every game they put the ball on the ground, very ridiculous.

It's the perfect time to work on ball security. Can't do it in season; not enough time. :2cents:

Looks like Pete Carroll is rubbing off on John Fox a bit more than some of you here would admit to.

Wouldn't he be a fool if he didn't try to learn and do new things? I think Fox has a tendency to be too laid back and this among other things should be implemented so the Broncos can knock the snot out of the Hawks at their own game.

I also hope they use the Hawks takeaway Tuesday or what ever it was so the defense can learn how to take the ball from the offense.
