  • Big Vick is back

#Broncos Kevin Vickerson tells me on @ESPN_Denver he's been cleared to participate in camp and nearly 100% healthy http://t.co/sGifhw5Gn6

Very good news, Vick is a very solid contributor to the D-Line. Then again, this could be coach speak.

Depth, depth, depth. Having a healthy Vickerson in the rotation is only going to make our DL that much stronger over the course of the season. Even if Vick loses his starting job, he is an asset on the line and I am glad to see him cleared.

A bring your lunch pale to work guy. Does every thing asked of him, and has an edge. Although he has had some bone headed plays, guys like Vick contribute mightly to a team.

Glad he's back. As long as he stops his boneheaded penalties on 3rd down and we'll be fine.

I have confidence in Vickerson to play smarter this season and be a real asset to the DT rotation, possibly still the starter.

Big Vick will be a good backup but Denver should stay with the talented youth of Williams and Knighton who may have been a top 5 DT combo at the end of the year last year. They played like the Williams wall!
A healthy Kenneth Dixon is a top 5 NFL RB.

Vick is the type of player we needed in the Superbowl. I don't agree with his stomping on a guys leg or injuring anyone but he doesn't back down in a fight and players get fired up when they see one of there own not backing down. I think TJ Ward and Vick give us two guys on the defense that will intimidate offenses and were going to need it against the NFC West. The fact that Williams and Jackson contribute so much on the d-line rotation now Vick will be able to stay fresh in games and the season and he can dominate in spot duty and keep Pot Roast fresh as well.
Check out the 1 minute 7 second mark as Vick blows past New Englands O-Line and sacks Brady in this video:

Sly should start provided health of course, he was playing really well with Knighton late in the year.

Will add much needed depth to the rotation though thats for sure.

Big Vick is the Heart n Soul of the Denver D in a lot of ways. He's one of my favorite players on defense for the last few years

How is he the heart and soul? Our DT played better without him.

He helped change everything. From where the team was to where it's gotten was in no small part due to the attitude of players like Big Vick

                          Go back and watch again

Vickerson is a load with a mean streak. He turned out to be a much better 1/2/3 tech than 4/5 tech. Having him back in a D-Line rotation will help a lot. :2cents:

No Elway turned the team around. Vickerson is a average player who will provide great depth but in no way did he change everything. For starters he only played 5 games, 4 starts, in Elways first year before he got hurt for the season. He wasn't exactly blowing away teams last year either, I believe he was ranked close to last by PFF in NT rankings. There's a reason the defense started to get better and knighton started to get better once Williams was the starter. I like Vick and think he will be beneficial coming off the bench if he can keep his temper down.

Big Vick has to come in and show up this offseason. I honestly believe he is fighting for a roster spot. 2 out of the last 3 years he finished the year on IR, hes in the last year of his contract, he's 31 years old and has hit his ceiling. If both Unrien and Austin come in and outperform Vick he could be cut in favor of the 2 younger, cheaper and higher potential players. This is a huge camp for Vick, he needs to come in, play tough and keep and his temper off or he could be gone.
