So sad, even though I have seen this coming for awhile - greatest owner in all of sports. Thanks Mr. B! I wish you the best and hope they find a cure for Alzheimer's soon.

        Absolutely

I remember hearing he had Alzheimer's disease a couple of years ago, but it was kept relatively quiet/private back then, although quite a few people did seem to know/be aware of the situation.

        A truly great owner.

An emotional day for Broncos Country. Just like it was said above, this just makes the drive to get a title that much sweeter.

Aw man, this is really sad. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease and I know first hand what it does to people who are close to you. Sending my prayers to the Bowlen family and the whole Broncos organization. "This one's for Pat."

I know personally that this a devastating and slow disease. My dad passed away with the disease years back. It is very hard on the caregiver. I am sure he will have good care.

Sad day for all of football not just Bronco country. He's a great man and played a big role in the league.
He is Mr.Broncos, the man with style on the sidelines.

It's a horrible slow disease as mentioned by others. Family will witness his mind slowly tear him apart.

Woke up around 4am Cali time and glanced at my phone and saw the news. I've been quietly sobbing for the last hour. Like others I've personally had the disease impact those close to me. And to now know that it's happening to someone that I feel like I've been close to for years, hurts. Mr B might as well stand for Mr Bronco. While Elway and others may stand out to those aren't as connected with the team, many people realize just how much this man loves the Broncos the fans and Colorado.

I think one of the hardest things I just read was that he no longer remembers the Super Bowl wins. The 'this ones for John' none of it. Just heartbreaking.

I know that someday we will get a "this ones for Pat". I just pray he's there both physically and mentally for it. Nobody deserves it more.

God bless you Mr Bowlen. Thank you so much for everything. Sending all my thoughts and prayers your way.
