That #1 on the depth chart was a little hype, imo. Moreno was coming off injury and Ball was a rookie. Only a few people actually believed he was going to be the starting RB in the regular season.

Hopefully he watched Moreno and learned that no matter how bad it looks you can alway rise back to the top. Moreno was a healthy inactive prior to last year, so hopefully Hillman watched and continues to battle back and show why he was picked where he was.

Always glad to give a second chance to players. Even ones like Omar who was approaching the Nate Jones level for me lol.

I'm hoping he steps up this year. I watched him in college and was glad we drafted him. He is still very young so lets hope these last 2 years were all developmental stumbling blocks and he becomes the RB I thought he was when he was drafted.

Jeff Legwald also has an article on Hillman chasing a second chance. This sounds optimistic that Hillman can contribute to the offense greatly this season. We do need a back that has the all out speed to take it all the way. Hillman was billed as that coming out of college. Again, I hope he can hang onto the football!

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- When former Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno had scratched and clawed his way out of the depth chart doghouse to post his best season as a professional in 2013 (1,038 yards rushing and 60 receptions), running backs coach Eric Studesville said this:"I hope guys, young guys, older guys, anybody, look at what Knowshon did for himself, how he worked, how he carried himself to go from where he was to do what he did, and see that's exactly how you handle football adversity.

Broncos coaches "love" what they're seeing from Ronnie Hillman in training camp. Has the talented 2012 third-round draft pick finally worked his way out of the doghouse in Denver?
Working...
