  • Is Tom Brady jealous of Peyton Manning's weapons?

Peyton Manning lined up a few yards behind center, crouching at the precipice of history. Bearing down on the north end zone of Sports Authority Field with a chance to become the second NFL quarterback to throw his 500th career touchdown pass, the Broncos' 38-year-old superstar surveyed his options like a foodie studying the menu at Emeril's.

Should he serve up the fateful ball for Wes Welker, who would reach an eye-popping milestone of his own later in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals? Should he look to new toy Emmanuel Sanders, one of the NFL's most explosive receivers so far in 2014? Should he switch things up by throwing to veteran wideout Andre Caldwell? Or should he connect with Pro Bowl tight end Julius Thomas, who would end the day as the NFL's leader in touchdown receptions?

Nice work if you can get it. Oh, and by the way: Manning's most potent target, Pro Bowl wideout Demaryius Thomas, wasn't even on the field.

It turned out Julius Thomas got the nod, abusing Cardinals safety Tony Jefferson to complete the 7-yard scoring play just in front of the right pylon, the first of two trips to the end zone he'd make during Denver's 41-20 thrashing of the Cards (3-1) on Sunday. Don't cry for Demaryius, however -- he ended the day with eight catches for a franchise-record 226 yards and a pair of TDs, helping Manning to a career-high 479-yard explosion.

Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Wes Welker and Julius Thomas put a tremendous strain on any secondary. As the season wears on, opponents with injuries to their DBs will have a very difficult time. Also, eventually Cody Latimer will see the field more as well. Throw Tamme into the mix and it is a receiving corps deep and highly skilled. I'm sure Tom Brady admires the skill of Denver's receivers.

I don't see why Brady would be jealous. He's been to more and won more Super Bowls. If anything, he's upset about the Mankins deal.

I think this is it also. He seems quite frustrated with all the change going on there lately. Every season, one more person is whisked away from him. Either via trade, cut, or handcuffs. And the replacements for those pieces have been very average. he honestly wants a legit crack at another title and he would like to not be abused along they way to it. I could honestly see him not finishing that career in NE. Truthfully, I'm starting to think he might not be there in 2015.

While on the flip side, he sees us multiplying our talent level each time we're forced to subtract a player. Doesn't mean we're gonna get the elusive ring, but makes it that much easier. Plus Manning isn't taking the abuse he's taking this year.

They have been speculating here in Boston that Brady might not be with the Pats much longer as well. There is a lot of tension between Brady and BB and the Krafts. It intensified with Logan Mankins trade and more recently with the release of Kenbrell Thompkins.

Additionally, they reported that although Thompkins and Brady had a rapport, they released him and activated Tyms who was Garappollo's guy in the preseason and on the practice squad.

The Boston sports media also are saying that although they had a great game against the Bengals, it still doesn't erase the Oline issues so problems really haven't been resolved.

Soooo can we start the rumor that Gase will find a HC job somewhere, PM will take over as OC, and Brady will finish his career in Denver..........

Kind of ruins my initial dream of Eli stinking it up one more year so they dump him and he comes here to and pick up where big bro left off!
